He has a $39million dollar buyout, would FSU & TAMU have to have an agreement on how much they owe him if they mutually agreed on parting ways?
TAMU would be making a mistake, they're trapped in the SEC West & under the illusion their program is better than it is.
Classic dumb SEC thinking, you can't replicate Saban & every **** AD in that conference thinks they're going to beat him by hiring all his former assistants.
They don't even realize all the Coaches that have beaten him have a completely different philosophy than him.
Sumlin made it look like it was a legit destination school, despite all the big money boosters they haven't been a relevant program since RC Slocum days in the 90's.
College Station is a dump. He not going there.
fortunatly it will never happen. I don't want him going anywhere
$40,000,000 buyout.
FORTY MILLION DOLLAR BUYOUT.
Pretty sure That's if they were to fire him, not what he/another school would have to pay if he took another job.

Exactly, besides he is owed several years of a$$ kickings.
It's very difficult to just turn things around abruptly when they start to slide. Winning is contagious, and so is losing.....you look at this FSU team, and you see a lot of the signs of a stale, entitled culture.
I'd rather Jimbo stay and have to manage a long, slow decline (that you could argue they are already in the midst of), than allow them to hit the reset button with a whole new coaching staff.
He might as well wait for the LSU job to open up again next season. Oregeron ain't it.
Texas A&M is a horrible job for a front runner like Jumbo, especially with Herman in the state. They don't know it yet, Sumlin is as good as they'll be for a looooong time. Only guy who can turn it around for them is Briles, and we know that ain't happening.

Ol' Eddie O will be a deadman walking by Labor Day Monday morning next year so what you're suggesting would be the right move. It just assumes that Cuckbo can have FSU looking remotely respectable again next year too which could end up being more difficult than many people think.

Another season like this one and he might not even be offered the LSU job. If he sucks again next year, then why is he an upgrade from Les Miles?
TAMU is a garbage job. Makes zero sense for Jimbo to go there. TAMU is dekusional.

I can see him taking the best opportunity to just get out. The Noles are effectively in a rebuild and it's going to be tough for him to build things back up with Clemson and now Miami on the rise.
Never really been impressed with him. He's very fortunate to have taken over FSU during a time when Miami and UF were at their worst.
