True but not at the level of talent they’re bringing in under Jimbo... they use to always get a couple elite players each class but not enough to be an elite fb program.

Some of you must be having trouble finding a CFB webboard. People coming on here looking for Hurricane Football talk are easily confused with the Suckbo love fest....

Without generational quarterback Jameis Winston, Fisher's coaching record vs. Power 5 teams is 23-17. Fisher's record at FSU after Winston, a bright supernova who played 2 seasons: 25-12 overall, 14-10 in the ACC.

Does anyone actually consider Mack Brown to be the 5th best coach in college football?
 
Jimbo is just a great recruiter. He got the same bump when took over FSU that he's getting now at Texas A&M.

These 3 teams finished above us this year, and have (by recruiting rankings) done better than us the last 10 years, despite not winning any more games

Over the past 10 years:

Texas A&M - Was in the 20's under Mike Sherman, got a bump but was more in the 10's under Sumlin, and Jimbo has got them Top 5
Texas - Was Top 5 under Mack Brown, 10's under Strong, More Top 5ish under Herman
Tennessee - High 10's under Dooley, Got a good bump with Butch Jones getting 2 Top 10 classes, and Pruitt got the #10 class this year

You can say $$ or bags, or some coaches are shadier, etc.

I look at it like this.....Recruiting is a sales job. Any company has a sales team out there selling the same product. Some dudes are just better at selling than others. Recruiting is the same way - some coaches can just sell better than others.

Jimbo is a dirty corch. That has had a big wallet at his disposal. Dude completely destroyed FSU and ran as fast as he could.

aTm screwed up hiring this clown but they haven't been the best at coaching evals anyways. This guy will bring in top flight classes but the environment he will create. Will sink the program fast.

He is no Urban Meyer. Whom can allow his players to run amok but still out coach the situation.

except Dabo has been steadily getting those types of qb's and will continue to get those types of qbs.

Coach O sold his soul for a ship...not sure he can repeat it..but they have the money to do so.

Mack got exactly one of those qb's.

Jumbo got exactly one of those qb's.

Exactly, and it's interesting how every single qb that Urban coached other than one or 2....has been so ill prepared for being a qb in the NFL.
