Surtain and Jeremiah Smiff are the 2 kids of the last decade that I'd have put my life on the line that they'd be elite players.

Surtain's maybe sophomore year of HS I was on here saying this dude was going to be an All-Pro NFL player. He was the most obvious "dude" in probably 10 years from down here. Until JJ. Just absurd ready-made talents.

Ya it was crazy on this board how people thought Surtain was overrated (not everyone on here, but many)…They thought Campbell was coming so he automatically was the real catch and Surtain was living off his name.

Then they were so adamant James Cook was a bum.
