Talent

Yes didnt understand the whole we dont find 3* talent we have done well there... We lost a ton too we lost figs paul eddie james etc etc on defense
We lost kids like Figs, EJ, etc. because our school is too scared of its own ****i ng shadow and doesn't believe in having the backs of our players.

Perryman and Dorsett were two of the best players in Florida in highschool. Golden didnt discover them they were just underratted bc they committed to UM.

They would have committed under Shannonm Golden gets no credit for their success. He is the worse coach in UM history and its not close

D, what do we do about all of this realistically? Is there money/resources for change? Is there an appetite for change at this point?

Not D$. Yes, there are resources for a change. The second question is the issue.

Resources very are limited right now...I'd be stunned if we made a move

LMFAO do you just make this nonsense up????? Do you realize how insignificant the buyout is in terms of the athletic departments ability to generate income/donations??

Losing Quan this year is a good example. He slugged a guy who touched his kid. Come on! In Tallahassee he would have received a medal. I fear that he will transfer after such a lack of support.

D$:

How much of the "coal shovel" guys and lack of South Florida savages has to do with Miami's unwillingness to adhere to the sliding scale? How much of it has to do with Shalala's desire to have the top APR in the country, which is hard to do with an entire team of South Florida public school kids?

Yep. Wish I had valuable inside info on this but it would just be speculation.

My worst case scenario is an average class this year, another wasted Kaaya year and then a transition during the loaded 2016 recruiting season.

Jeez, that's a nightmare scenario. Every game that is coached by this buffoon sinks are program deeper and deeper. 2015 class (and consequently 2016) will start to fall apart the minute opposing coaches start recruiting against us with the theme of "lame duck coach". It's going to kill us and we can't afford it because 2016 is loaded.

We are a couple decommittments away from our 2015 class being pedestrian. Scary times, gents.

I don't think it has anything to do with it. Shannon had a ton of Dade kids and we had a better APR than we do now. Gray basically did four years of work in one summer and got in. Admissions does some weird stuff sometimes but it's a talent evaluation issue.

The Shalala criticism is overstated in my opinion. She personally called in favors to get Joe Yearby in. He may have ended up in USF if she didn't intervene.

Shalala destroyed the football program for a 48th spot in the academic ranking

But but but some guys business degree might be more valuable now!

This school isn't even a top academic school in it's own division, but our **** president and her fairy followers who couldnt get into Duke so they try to make Miami a reeeeally cheap Duke imitation, thinks our **** don't stink.

I will throw a ******* party for everyone on here the day that ISIS **** dies.

My Shalala criticism is that we've now hired three consecutive coaches, 14 years, of guys who don't lead in the aggressive, cutting edge way that made this program great. If you're worried about the school's brand, and you happen to be trying to build a Health District associated with the cutting edge, wouldn't you try to build the football program - essentially your organization's biggest marketing/branding tool - in a way that coincides? It's almost too easy. The school benefits and the football program benefits.

I don't blame her for Coker and Golden. She didn't want Coker, and Golden seemed like a good hire at the time. Shannon was not a good hire but our program was a mess and a lot of people turned us down. And while the buck stops with her, she's not a football person. Golden was really DiMare's choice.

Her personal legacy is not tied to one of those two things mentioned in your last sentence.....

Her personal legacy is tied to the health district...

Coincidence that one suffers as it is neglected...?

That's my point. If she's not a football person, surround yourself with people who are. Dimare's influence should not be an excuse or a crutch. Ultimately, she is accountable.

Say Gary Patterson just simply says "I don't like the city of Miami and I don't like Palm Trees"

What does your wish list look like after that?

golden was the perfect hire this school needed.. he was thought to be an elite up and comer much like muschamp. I can't fault the hiring at that point
