Taggart to FSU; Leavitt stays at Oregon

Leavitt is a problem. Hope he takes a HC job soon.

Jimbo was the problem. Coordinators are inconveniences. If we're buying into some theory that all you need are coordinators and a head corch that can recruit then please let me know when LSU's Playoff game is (or why we beat them by 30 in less than 9 months from now).

Anybody ever consider that Donk (and his family) might not want to actually have to live in Tallahassee if it's just a lateral move and the money difference isn't astronomical? $hitty faux college towns ain't for everybody as adults- even if you've been there before.

Why would Dugans take a demotion from Passing Game Coordinator? He's on track to get an OC job somewhere soon. I also like they have Cristobol taking a demotion from Co-OC to OL coach too.

I get the feeling that Dugans and his wife love it down here. Both are close enough to their families but far enough to not be bothered. I bet their also tired af of moving.

Dugans leaving would suck. FSUs biggest weakness the last few years has been the mindblowing lack of WRs that can change the game.

I would go all in on mario if dugans dipped but thats just me....that would solidify jobe also.

Who coaches WR in that scenario?

That's a good question... Definitely not Mario. I believe Mario may have burned too many bridges to return.

gotta get a recruiter that can go head up with Dugans and hes the only one that I can think of, anyone got any other names

Head up with dugans for what? Lets be real dugans wasnt even known until he got to miami. We will be fine. As far as wr coaches you got lamar thomas at kentucky.

**** hes at Kentucky? thought he was at Louisville

Someone convince me that this is a good thing?

Cause what I know of Willie...
He runs a nice offense and he can recruit.

He can recruit, but the guy hasn’t even won a bowl game.

He would be very risky for FSU. It’s rare that coaches get mediocre results and then go to a bigger job and win a ton of games.

Jimmy Johnson did it. As I recall he was 30-25 at Oklahoma State before he came to Miami.

Leavitt is the one who concerns me as he would take their athletes and immediately improve the defense.

Canes fans can't discuss things rationally without acting obtuse. Dugan's leaving is plausible.

FSU: Coach at alma mater, reunite with Taggart, pay increase (most likely), chance to win big
Miami: Chance to win big/continue progressing, remain loyal to Richt

2-10 to 10-2 at USF.

Great coaches (or potentially great ones) don't go 2-10 no matter what the circumstance.

The only coach I can think of was Mack Brown at North Carolina and he was one of those s-l-o-w builders that took years to turn programs around.

Taggart is a hit it and quit it kind of guy. Never stays long enough anywhere to prove himself.
