TAC x Patke Interaction

Lol at anyone defending the coaches personnel decisions.

THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD HAS BEEN COMPLETELY VACANT IN ALMOST ALL OF OUR GAMES. AS IN YOU CAN'T SPOT A MIAMI LB IN THE FIELD OF PLAY. It is just unbelievable at the school with one of the proudest traditions at LB.

Our defense is almost literally the DL on the first level & then the DBs.....nothing in-between. That's why the yardage totals are so high. No-one touches the opponent after they get through the DL.

The coaches need to identify the three most athletic guys that can play the LB position (guys with good sideline-to-sideline speed and the ability to shed/avoid blocks AND TACKLE). Give those three guys dedicated zones on the field and let them see ball, get ball. It simply cannot get worse than no-one being home at all in the middle of the field.

Flagg tries hard but is not the solution. Too slow at this level. Ragone made one nice tackle (and does try hard) but he's physically limited.

Identify the best athletes we have available to play LB, simplify things for them (as stated above) and let's see us have a presence in the middle of the field. Any tackles made in the middle of the field will be a pleasant surprise. We have zero presence in the middle of the field currently. Fix it!!!!

I bet this young man makes it to the NFL. I know where he's from. I lived in the southern part of New Jersey for over 20 years. Failure is not an option for him. We're going to look back and say what an *** Patke was for shafting this young man.

So you're betting because of where he lives that failure isn't an option? Man, must be a lot of NFL'ers from his high school or they all went pro in something else. ****.

I'm trying not to be too judgmental here, but man the hyperbole is ridiculous. Failure is not an option, but if I'm not starting my freshman year then I need daddy to come help and publicly yell at the coach after a big win. Sounds hard as a **** to me.

All i know is theybetter not have Flagg shadowing Travis(fsu) or Simms this week...

Your setting the kid up for failure...find a way to get some speed in for that purpose.

That can actually cost us the game because thats the ONLY thing Travis can do.
No problem....manny will get Jennings on that.

There is a lot we don't see that goes on at practice to be fair. Maybe Cave is struggling and isn't picking up the playbook. Knowing what your doing when your out there is an important part, I know that's a big reason Huff doesn't play. That's not just a Manny thing Its a coaching thing in general, coaches will play the players who understand the scheme and know the playbook over ones who don't even if there more talented. Now I have no clue if that's the reason Cave isn't playing, he can't be much worse then Flagg. I really don't care if any of the LBs leave to be honest. Manny would be a straight up idiot if he didn't bring in two transfer starting LBs for next season
The playbook excuse… another in the long line of Manure slurper excuses. Except why does it keep getting debunked?

Btw, I think we need a better playbook… cause our defense is getting gashed on the same plays over the middle

Shaq and Pinckney were Manny Diaz's guys. He had no prior relationship with the players that were existing on the roster. Everyone had a clean slate.

And I seriously doubt you want Manny gone. Flagg also hasn't really performed well either, while the other players that have had to wait like Kitchens, Williams and LT found their way onto the field through injury and have shined.

The question to ask is - does Flagg warrant the playing time he's getting? The answer is no.
How in the **** you’re going to tell me I don’t want Manny gone? Gtfooh. And all these LBs are “Manny Guys” so what’s the difference. We’ve had multiple LBs injured over the past two seasons and TAC has still yet to see the field. Why in the **** did Flagg see the field and not him? They BOTH were recruited together and by Manny.

The knock on Cave has been grasping the mental aspect and I'm sure that Ragone knows all the calls to make as MLB. What I don't understand is the need to rotate him in there for 5 plays. If Flagg is your starter at MLB then why are you subbing him out for a 3rd stringer?
the defense was gassed in the second half but without question, the constant subbing is insane.

He did his job😂. That was the pick
Yup, JW along with a horrible Pickett throw saved the day. Could have been diazasterous.

Also afterwards, laughed when 34 ran to pick up the ball that was “dropped” by JW and he stumbled doing so. MFer look so **** awkward on the field and his shape/build stands out, not in a good way.

You have to be one of the most stubborn and dumbest posters I’ve ever seen on CiS.

Why was Manny sitting all of the other young guys that are clearly more talented and better players until injuries forced his hand.

But now you’re trying to tell us that Manolo is some football savant that knows who the more talented guys are, and would never sit the more talented player?

Corch Mandy even admitted that he was sitting the more talented guys because the older guys were counted on to make plays, but they were not performing so he was gonna be forced to play the younger guys.

He’s done this for almost all of the position groups, except his “specialty” group, the LB’s. Mandy is keeping the faster, more talented LB’s on the bench, there is no question about it.

The fact that he’s still playing dudes that are getting embarrassed by QB’s that are not even athletic runners should be exhibit A. If we trot Flagg and Jennings out there against Sims and Travis, it’s highly likely that they will both have career days.

This is my main problem with Diaz, he gives out PT like a charity. I don't care what a player's gone through quite honestly. Give it to the guy that's going to perform the best.
THIS. It's clear he values loyalty and long-term commitment - which are valuable traits, but if the 5th year 3rd string OT who rehabbed two torn ACLs, ran 8 miles to school everyday, does all your drills 100% and gets great grades sucks then he shouldn't start. Plain and simple.

Play your best players! Manny has a soft spot for certain guys and gives preferential treatment because he likes or endears himself to those guys.

Other than convincing himself that his much vaunted defensive schemes are elite, this is Manny's biggest mistake as a Head Coach.

Shut your ***** *** up. What other young players weren’t playing? Rivers started before injury! Williams Played! Kichens played! Brinson played! K Smith starts! Pope and Wiggins are in the portal! Flagg IS A YOUNG PLAYER, you moron. The fastest LB we have is Keontra and he was an instant starter once switched over. What the **** are you talking about? Jennings had 7 snaps and you’re whining like a broad. Fact is, TAC sitting on the bench isn’t some massive injustice when the players seeing most of the playing time are sophomores or freshman. Quit making **** up little hoe.

This is a legitimate concern for Saturday. I recall one play during the UVA game where Flagg appeared to be shadowing the QB. Armstrong ran right by him. There will be some ugly conversions on 3rd and 14 Saturday!
This is why Manny is the clueless wonder. What on earth has he seen that would make him believe, Flagg would really excel shadowing the QB? He just calls ****, with no regard for who is on the field. Dumb SOB

If anything TAC should at minimum be a situational player IF he can handle that. Flagg shouldn’t be QB spying anyone. And I’ve said that earlier in this thread.
