The Jordan doc was good, and I think it was good because it was from the horses mouth. An entire generation had passed with everyone else telling the tale but him. These Netflix sports "documentaries" are absolute jokes. Between the Gata, Johnny Manziel, even The Last Dance, all you get are puff pieces and vanity projects masquerading as documentaries, spearheaded and often funded by the subjects themselves. There's an upcoming one about Jerry Jones, and the size of that manure pile will rival that of AT&T Stadium.
That’s because you can’t drop bags and build a stacked team like you can in CFB. The list is long of great college coaches who failed miserably in the NFL. Plus, you’re dealing with grown men who are making tons of money who aren’t going to fall for the same lies and B.S. coaches like Meyer peddle to these college kids. Hopefully Urban Liar is done for good and we never have to see his face again.urban was very strategic in his HC moves, all 3 schools he HC'd at the talent level was very good Bowling Green, Utah the the Gayturds....... finally it caught up with him last couple of years at OSU then the disaster at Jax. what a dirt bag
Urban Meyer is pure garbage. He happens to be a good football coach. Besides which he is a bad husband, father and human being. In the end his shortcomings define him more than winning football games.
The Manziel one should've been way longer and they obviously either got a little too close and/or ceded too much editorial control to Johnny. The UiF one is an absolute joke in comparison but there were a lotttttt of uncomfortable details omitted from the Manziel one too.I thought Balco and Manziel ones were decent
ah yes, Urban Liar.......reaping what he sowedThat’s because you can’t drop bags and build a stacked team like you can in CFB. Message Board Genius is gonna find you.Urban is a scumbag. I loathe that POS.
I'd also take him as HC in a heartbeat!!!
Not a shred of a doubt in my mind that he'd have us dynastic with his pedigree and the talent we have down here.
Hahaha. Exactly. Somehow the SEC's dominance over like the last 15 years gets manipulated into their teams having been this major force for the last 40 years.I started to watch it then I realized quickly what was going on was just the turds trying to get some free advertising (like people assumed we were with the 30 for 30s)when that lil bald trash can Paul finebum came on the screen and said all throughout the 90s all the turds did was win championships... Where the **** was I when they were playing in all these championships let alone winning them. Apparently Spurrier dominated the 90s. That wasn't us. Glad to know I've been confused.
I'm never going to criticize the Jordan one too because that **** dropped at the perfect time when we all were super desperate for some programming/a distraction during Covid. The Jordan doc was good, and I think it was good because it was from the horses mouth. An entire generation had passed with everyone else telling the tale but him.
Here's something else I don't understand.
Where is this magical "turnaround". I'm no fan of Ron Zook, but he didn't exactly leave the cupboard bare. He had some good teams that did well in the SEC East, but he had the misfortune to play Miami and F$U each year for all three years (and they lost 5 of those 6).
Then you compare everything to Urban Meyer and...well, let's be honest for HALF of Urban's tenure (3 out of 6 years) his records weren't anything different from Zook's. I would never take anything away from his three ONE-LOSS teams, they were pretty good teams, but let's not pretend that Urban had a lot to turn around, or that he turned things around permanently.
More mythbuilding. Very good coach, very good results, but let's not pretend that glowing documentaries should be made that IGNORE the big picture and all the negatives that arose.

Haven’t watched it but this is NOT surprising. I read that initially good old Urban advised the producers that he would NOT cooperate with such a production. He then agreed to participate but only if he could mostly control the narrative. JOKEHahaha. Exactly. Somehow the SEC's dominance over like the last 15 years gets manipulated into their teams having been this major force for the last 40 years.
I should've seen the red flags you did here and jumped ship too. Like an idiot, I kept thinking that they were going to get into all the real dirt in episode 3 and that somehow Urbie and Teblows were going to be ****ed they got duped into participating.
Instead, I got 4 episodes of the Urban Meyer Redemption Tour, Teblows speaking in an annoying as F whisper that he obviously thought was dramatic, Brandon Siler being portrayed as a legendary college player, cornball Ahmad Black cracking himself up in a kitchen, and goofy *** Dan Mullen sitting by a pool trying his best to appear normal.
Funny part too is they feature some tub of goo former o-lineman that is the only one to remotely criticize some of what went on and seems kinda level-headed....and then you look his *** up and see he was accused of rape while there and arrested for violating a restraining order.
But back to St. Timmy. Did you know he couldn't afford college and the ONLY way he was going to go was to get an athletic scholarship? Did you know they MURDERED us (interesting choice of words, Timbo) in 2008? Please, that game was like a 6 pt difference going into the 4th quarter.
Probably not, but maybe the massive negative reaction to this trash will actually compel someone to finally do a real one on what went on there. Maybe Huntley Johnson or his family will need some cash someday.

I believe it. The dumbest part of the entire deal is it ended up serving nobody aside from maybe adding to Brandon Spikes' ego and forcing Brandon Siler down our throat.Haven’t watched it but this is NOT surprising. I read that initially good old Urban advised the producers that he would NOT cooperate with such a production. He then agreed to participate but only if he could mostly control the narrative. JOKE![]()
