Still shaking my head on why we let Horton get away...

He hit the portal and committed to bama simultaneously. I doubt we had much “choice” in his decision. He was tampered with- which is standard operating procedure these days that I’m fine with because we do it too see X Lucas- and we didn’t want to offer him a crazy number to stay. It all makes sense from a roster management standpoint. I think he will have a great season this year and be featured

Bruh you overrating tf out of him man. You couldn’t say that last year cause he was on our team and homers vaginas would get hurt. He benefitted from Cam like others. Him more than anyone benefitted the most. I always said he was OR for years on this site (and got called out for it by the cheerleader CIS squad). Every time Cam got him the ball the DB was standing right next to him. Yall act like he’s a creat a separation demon……..he’s not. He’s a basic big wr that’s it.

Worry? sure not some major worry/absolute Need of a stud #1.
Still absolutely worth getting a WR1 when you have a top QB? Yes. WR and OT are the highest value positions after QB on offense. Whether or not you have a top QB, paying for elite WR makes sense.

He’s a Manny recruit, Mario came in and had to recruit him to have a salvageable class. You can’t wipe a class out that’s bad practice and you can’t recruit the kids you recruited to Oregon, after he told those recruits Oregon was the place to be he would look real bad. If not Mario never takes him, that first class never counts imo and it’s a transition class.

Manny recruited him for a long time. Yes, Mario came along and retained Wes. What was Mario going to do, tell everyone that Manny recruited that "we don't want you"?

Mario converted the extra point on Manny's 99 yard drive.

Horton is a good player and he has another leap left in him. He works hard. There is more downfield ability than we saw last season.

I get why he was intrigued by Alabama. He’s friends with the quarterback and the other guys will command attention. We got hurt at receiver in the winter portal by not having Beck in place.

I think CJ Daniels can replace what Horton gave us last year. The tougher one to replace will be Restrepo. He was a go-to guy at the college level. We have the talent but need someone to demand the ball.
