Still shaking my head on why we let Horton get away...

Technically Wes is not a Manny recruit. He committed to Miami after Manny got fired, but right b4 Mario was hired.

He’s a Manny recruit, Mario came in and had to recruit him to have a salvageable class. You can’t wipe a class out that’s bad practice and you can’t recruit the kids you recruited to Oregon, after he told those recruits Oregon was the place to be he would look real bad. If not Mario never takes him, that first class never counts imo and it’s a transition class.
He already knew Manny was a goner when he commited, he came here to play for Mario..he did NOT commit here to play for manny diaz

I'm a little surprised people are pressing this hard for Mario to be credited with landing a pedestrian linebacker.

We didn’t push Horton out. I think he wanted to play with his friend Ty Simpson and we didn’t pay a tax to keep him.
More so he wanted to be home and he was a fan of Bama in school. I followed his recruitment closer when we offered and I didn’t think he was that good out of
Murfreesboro. Definitely elevated his game beyond my expectations. I truly think we got him because Bama initially wasn’t as interested.

His throwing the U down at the fsu visit …committing here and sticking for so long in the transfer portal era is surprising to me.
For sure. Bothered me big time but was pretty **** apologetic, Sabbath Joseph ended up coming on over here to be brought up in the process.

He wanted to be at Miami, I would have to see his other legit offers. But offers like schools that were really pushing for him not just a check mark on a website or a mailed letter from home. Mario did keep him in the fold there was like 2 weeks left for NSD, what did u want Mario to do get a verbal from someone at South American Heritage HS? Cause aint no one left with 2 weeks left, you would be grabbing a major project and kids will be to tough to pull that late.

Yes, I know he committed on 12/4/21, but in reality Diaz was already gone. Diaz was fired on 12/6/21 & Mario was hired on 12/6/21. Lol. From what I understand, Wes wasn’t committing to Diaz, he knew Mario was coming. Which is y I’m continuously said the excuses r gone now.

-No more offensive issues (2022 excuse)
-No more TVD (2023 excuse)
-No more defensive coaching issues (2024 excuse)
-No more Diaz players (2022-2024 excuse)

lol I know you don’t live here but there is technically an American Heritage High School in Delray Beach. So that would make American Heritage Plantation (the good one) South American Heritage.

Bruh you overrating tf out of him man. You couldn’t say that last year cause he was on our team and homers vaginas would get hurt. He benefitted from Cam like others. Him more than anyone benefitted the most. I always said he was OR for years on this site (and got called out for it by the cheerleader CIS squad). Every time Cam got him the ball the DB was standing right next to him. Yall act like he’s a creat a separation demon……..he’s not. He’s a basic big wr that’s it.
Big facts was never big on horton! Dont care he walked his replacement is on roster already id take any of the freshman over dude tbh doubt he does much at Bama this year

It’s ok to admit he’s a good player and we would’ve been in a good place if we kept him but I also don’t know what number he wanted to stay so I can understand not wanting to overpay for him as well
