Still shaking my head on why we let Horton get away...

I never care for a wr2-3 type wr leaving, last year I didn’t care that young left but that’s because we had X and JG still here with horton

Now we lose all of our top WRs(including arroyo) plus horton? Recipe for disaster

I like cj but horton is a much better fit for this offense, i rather the wr that is good at working in the middle of the field than a wr who’s good for outside 50/50 balls. One of those lead to consistent offense, wish we had both then the young guys would have room to grow and another blueprint in the building

Taking this gamble with a qb who fell off when his top weapons left is very risky. Can’t keep being a step late with this stuff

Horton is a good player and he has another leap left in him. He works hard. There is more downfield ability than we saw last season.

Agree completely. He made a nice leap last season and thought he'd improve more this season. I'm not gonna whine about it but him not being here irks me regardless of the tax.

That’s right brother you tell him! This Canes Insight! We ain’t got time for semantics and nuance! Pick your side slurp or mope!

Yes, I know he committed on 12/4/21, but in reality Diaz was already gone. Diaz was fired on 12/6/21 & Mario was hired on 12/6/21. Lol. From what I understand, Wes wasn’t committing to Diaz, he knew Mario was coming. Which is y I’m continuously said the excuses r gone now.

-No more offensive issues (2022 excuse)
-No more TVD (2023 excuse)
-No more defensive coaching issues (2024 excuse)
-No more Diaz players (2022-2024 excuse)

Yeah year 4 should be no more excuses (barring some injury which **** just happens sometimes) and Im not even saying I expect a NC in year 4. BUT we should stop being in dog fights with every team on the schedule. 1-2 is fine, all teams have off days but we should start to just look different in year 4. It took Day what 5-6 years to win a NC? Dabo 7 years? Kirby 5 years? Harbaugh 8 years? I think Meyer and Saban were all in the 2-4 year range so they are the top tier group.

Im just trying to think of the other coaches the board loves and while yes a NC took years, all those teams were consistently in the top 5 and barely missing the mark, not imploding and tumbling down the ranking in Nov.

Why? We had a good year on offense. He was going to be in a good position here. There was no way we were going into the season starting Judd or Emory.

If he was doing the work he’s doing this offseason here, he’d be the CIS poster child of doing it the right way and buying into the culture…

Eh, on this side Miami can replace 56 catches and 616 yards. Daniels alone had 42/480 and a slightly higher yards/catch than Horton with a limiting injury. Horton will start, but Ryan Williams likely goes over 1k and 10 TDs if healthy. If this year's Alabama offense looks more like what he used at Washington, he probably lands somewhere between Polk and McMillan did in 2023 (~55-60 catches, 850 yards) depending on QB play (Pennix threw for almost 5k), more likely lower. They have some up and coming young receivers too (Keep an eye out for Lotzier Brooks).

Buddy dropped what woulda put us in good position for a td during the last drive of the syracuse game. He can kick rocks
I think the JG personal foul hurt more. Although, I agree, had he not looked up field on that catch. The JG personal foul wouldn't even had happened. However, his PF pushed us back when we were inside the 10 or very close.

two years in a row this cost the Canes at WR. Need to be better prepared next year and lock in the 26 starter on day one of the portal.
We had excellent play at WR and the #1 offense last year not sure how it really costs us much unless you think JJ smith REALLY didn’t come based off our QB (I don’t)
