State of Emergency-NOAA Link in OP

As of Wednesday morning, both the Miami Hurricanes and Dolphins plan on hosting their games at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

If there is talk about moving the Dolphins game on Sunday, rest assured there is talk about postponing the Miami-FSU game if only because of travel concerns for the Seminoles and their fans — many of whom would be driving south in what is expected to be rough conditions.

Why don't they leave earlier?

Exactly, they should already be on the way. Don't punk out now Criminoles... ....

The game won't be postponed b/c of their lack of prep or their fans not being being able to travel. That's silly.

If this were the 80's Jerome might hold a press conference asking to move the game to Tallahassee [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I just changed my original flight set to land Thursday night to tonight. F them!

If I can adjust my travel plans, they can as well.

Same here. Just worried since I'll be landing in WPB. Not sure what kind of hit that area will take.

Well if they are going to postpone the game it can only be to after the Dolphin game on Sunday or Monday night. Miami doesn't have any open weekends before the ACC Championship game. One way or another this game has to take place this weekend unless it is going to be outright cancelled and I don't see that happening.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but it is to FSU's advantage to have this game cancelled and give their rookie QB some more experience before playing us. Or rather to our advantage to play him now that he only has 5 games under his belt.

IMO we have the edge playing them now rather then later

Most airlines are waiving change fee's as a result if that helps to reschedule.

down to a category 3.. 125 mph winds and it's only barely above haiti

a VERY good sign

Hurricanes often lose strength at night. Problem is, they often explode as soon as the sun comes up and heats everything up. A Cat 3 is not a good thing to wake up to, because if it is over warm water when the sun comes up, it will likely strengthen. I sure hope it doesn't. Also, it looks like it just jogged west. I hate this, because this is the biggest game in a decade for the program.

As others have said, to **** with their fans if they can't travel. It is OUR home game. They are looking for any excuse they can not to play us.

^^Facts. Everyone knew that the storm would temporarily lose strength as it passed over land. It will now get two days over warm water again.

Via Dr. Whitley: "Always proud of our Student Affairs staff at UM. The next 48 hours could be challenging, but we are well prepared for Matthew. Decisions on UM closure for tomorrow will be made around noon. Stay safe everyone. I will stay overnight on campus just in case."

Game is toast.

Just plain stupid to say this now. Don't be a panicky bītch. We'll know what we need to know tomorrow afternoon or evening.

As it stands right now, game goes on.

Put your tampon back in and sit tight.

the storm is going to intensify quickly tonight. Just really need to hope it stays offshore
