Spring 2017 Track Thread for Miami Recruits

Just because you are fast doesn't mean you are good at football...

Nobody said that and anybody that follows football knows that speed is an important PART of ones game. A lot of the best football players also run/ran track. A lot of people like myself think they go hand n hand.

One thing that is a fact is if you're slow you will suck at the college level plain and simple.

To be frank you have to be kinda football dumb not to understand the correlation/ concept.

Plenty of slow players end up studs. Michael Irvin ring a bell?

Michael Irvin wasn't slow. Dam you make some weird *** comments. Deon sanders sucked at track ring a bell? Lmao etc

Irvin wasn't the quickest but he had the most deadly first step and slant route back in the day. That was his go to and it was fun to watch.

He shouldn't, IMO.

Objectively, he is an absolutely elite level sprinter ... Right now ... As an 11th grader!

I know football recruiting is "sexier" than track. So I get it. For a high school kid, getting that kind of "love" is an experience. But if I were anyone close to him, I'd be leading the charge for him to really should just focus on track.

I can see this kid breaking 10 seconds in the 100m before graduating high school ...

Campbell 10.41 100m

That's Elite Speed for a High school kid

That's a by-product of training with the Schwartz kid. Running with faster kids makes you faster, if you are a competitor.

you want to get faster to beat them, and they want to get faster to keep beating you.

Ideally, everyone gets faster.

I'd love to see that American Heritage 4X100m Relay team. It ALMOST doesn't even matter who their other 2 legs are ...

The other two legs are fast guys also. One guy is a 21.4 200m sprinter and the other is a 10.8 100m guy iirc. 40.17 leads the nation
