I'm no Warren Buffet, but from a financial standpoint, this holdup on whether to get rid of Al or not, makes no sense. Is the potential loss of money from keeping Al not greater than the buyout. Loss of donations, season ticket sales, individual game tickets, all will dip to all time lows. More embarrasing overhead shots of SunLife on ESPN, exposing our shameful gameday atmosphere to potential recruits. The coach brings the recruits, the recruits winning games brings the fans, fans bring the money. We stand to get some bottom of the barrel recruits if Al stays. 2015 and 2016 classes will be ruined. If they wait until next year to break ties, it will have have lasting effects for the future and severely handicap the next coach. The investment needs to be made now, or the cost a year from now will be too much to overcome.
