So Treon Harris to FSU

Crazy part is everyone here knew Treon wasn't coming here because like Flowers wanted a shot at QB and we were recruiting him at slot. Still having a meltdown and on pace to have more views and posts than us landing Travonte Valentine when we couldn't land an ''Elite'' DT to save our lives...

I don't think it's a meltdown. Most people would rather have Berrios in the slot then Harris.

This thread is mostly for the Ice apologists and the writers who give him a platform. The things that happened the last week with 3 BTW kids should put a stop to the "Ice is pro-Cane" crap.

Bring back Randy Shannon, shutdown the program we can't recruit. Let's not attack these kids and their families . We are all love our beloved canes but some of the things that is said on this board are borderline childish. Golden will do what it takes to bring this program back to where it belongs, FSU = Paper champs

For about the 10th time, no one is attacking kids. Negged.

To be honest the Ice thing should be pretty obvious but I still don't 100% think BTW has to do with Berrios. I don't think there's a chance in **** right now Al would wait on BTW before offering a talented kid he wanted.

Its an amazing coincidence I know, but I think there was a lot of selling going on between the U camp and the Opening about Barrios and it worked.

Or maybe I'm just confused.

Miami did not want Treon as a QB they saw him as a WR/DB. FSU is willing to take him as a QB and thats all he needed to hear. Treon Harris was vehement in saying that he wanted to play QB in college, but then started lightening up a little toward the end because he figured that's where most college's want him. Now, do you really expect Coach Harris to sit there and tell HIS OWN SON "I don't care if they're gonna let you play QB, you're going to go to Miami." What type of dad is that? secondly what type of coach is that???.

This in no way is Harris ******** UM over, he saw the chance for his son to fulfill his dreams and said "Go for it' and you expect him to hold his son back from that just because you all believe he owe's something to Miami?

Lets get something straight here for the last time, nowhere and I mean NOWHERE in Coach Harris' contract does it say he is required to force all of his top products to go to UM. We are talking about 17 year old kids, the most he can do is push for UM and that's it. If you seriously expect him to force every single one of his kids to UM then you're just crazy.

imo he negative recruits mia. proof is in the pudding.

Nobody is ripping Treon Harris, it's Ice Harris we have a problem with. He's been very open about the fact that he doesn't like the U. Then, his kids last year (Kirkland and Matthew Thomas) trolled the staff by being silent commits, but going elsewhere on signing day.

Now, Treon goes to the Seminoles, Bethel "delays" his announcement, and some kid who's never taken a snap is suddenly too good for Miami and wants to "look around."

Meanwhile, Chad Thomas is quiet as can be about his recruitment, which sounds a lot like the Matthew Thomas recruitment.

Ice Harris doesn't like Miami. It's pretty blatant that he's pushing his kids away from Miami, or talking bad about Miami to his kids. That's why we don't like him.

Like I said in another thread. This should end all this "feeder school" BS that we spew on here. They are no longer a feeder school. Just another school that we will recruit and hope that we can get top prospects from. They are the Ely of the South. To me for Treon Harris to basically flat out say that he is going in to play QB but is open to playing slot is just a pure slap in the face. I cant ever forgive him for this. Going to the arch rival school? Really? Clearly, "his momma didnt raise him right" as TDD says. BUT we will overcome this. Rememeber when MNW kids were going to FSU? (Minnis, TFord, CDickson). This will pass too. Just prepare yourselves for the fact that Patton is gone to FSU and Cthomas might be gone too. It is what it is. Smh.

I think your reading comprehension is off. Its not about "forcing" kids to UM. Being straight shooters with the local school isn't too much to ask. Not turning last recruiting cycle into a PR nightmare isn't too much to ask. Telling Matthew Thomas not to lie to UM coaches about his intent to go there isn't too much to ask. You think high schools across the country make it such a mine field for the home town team like Booker T does? Aquinas kids go to other schools all the time. No one on here crushes retired coach George Smith. Aquinas kid didn't mess around in recruiting.

For all those that lump Uncle Luke and Ice together please stop. Luke says some negative **** but still loves the U and send his kids there if given the chance. Ice is butt hurt from being fired by Golden and does anything in his power to hurt the U.

Curious to hear gogeta's response on all the noise at BTW the last week

My take:

None of you clowns wanted anything to do with Ice harris or his son, YET theres an all out meltdown when his son verbals to another school.

- Kid wants a shot at qb, And has stated this from early in his recruitment...only thought about giving us a shot at another position. Im guessing fsu will lie to him to get that shot..obviously they want Bethel, and Chad. People also forget that Matt Thomas grew up playing with Treon as his qb since little leagues. This offer maybe to keep Matt Thomas and crew inline though i think theyve been recruiting Treon for awhile.

Dont care about that loss to much..i wanted the kid as a cb recruit. The big dog from BTW is Chad Thomas...i dont care about Bethel/Jackson as much...im all in on Chad Thomas, he's a special recruit.

Bethel/Patten can be replaced as a cb prospect fairly easily.

1. What kind of coach really takes FSU's QB promise seriously and them not just not telling the kid what he wants to hear? What kind of dad?

2. That's not even the point. And no one is upset because he is not forcing or pushing kids to Miami. And no has implied that it his job to do so. That is a straw man and ******* half. The complaints come from the ****ery he allows when it comes to UM. With allowing his players to play games with UM and use the UM offer and interest to hold "their place" rather than take it seriously. So please, stop with the "you want him to force kids to UM" bull**** because it's ******* ridiculous and misses the entire point. With your capitalized "NOWHERE" and ****. ******* Christ.

The Matthew Thomas and Kirkland saga last year is very different from what is occurring this year. The explosion he had with the media following the Kirkland incident was honestly completely unnecessary. But with Matthew Thomas, he told UM he would choose them on signing day, flat out told them that the night before. While Ice could have told the coaches "Hey I think he is backing off that pledge", ff a kid tells me the day before Signing Day that he will sign with my school I would believe him and I think most would because if you try offering any other prospect behind them you might over sign. No, I don't think high schools like make it difficult for the hometown school, however, it isn't a cake walk.

I dont think ice doesnt negative recruit us, but i also think he doesnt praise us as much as he did before JMO

Let me take you dudes to school for a minute.

Lice and Traitoron know that Traitoron isn't playing QB at fsu. That's the story they've conjured up so that no one can question Traitoron going to fsu instead of UM. They can just say "we love UM and Traitoron wanted to go to UM, but UM wouldn't give him a shot at QB and fsu did, so that's why he chose fsu." Traitorn has said over and over he's open to play WR or CB. That's not a guy set on playing QB. He sees his brother making nice cake as a CB in the NFL, and he knows he won't be doing that as QB in the NFL.

And all the dopes and Lice apologists will fall in line and run with that horseshyt story about him getting a shot at QB at fsu. They know he isn't playing QB there. These are conniving shysters you're dealing with here. They have a lot of free time and a big ax to grind with UM. I've been saying it since The Don ran Lice off: There's no way that dude will EVER try to steer any great players here. I still stand by that, and history is proving it out. We might wind up getting a guy from Booger T, but we'll have to rip him from Lice and BeanBag's slimy fingers. It'll have to be a pioneer, who really loves UM and is willing to buck those 2 clowns.

Dudes are so gullible, naive and/or delusional on here listening to these Lice puppets with their fake stories about how Lice is cool with UM. Deeds not words. Look at the deeds and look at the felon he has as his "Director of Football Operations". That guy is an fsu recruiter. He's supposedly not even a Booger T employee. He's just some guy who pumps the kids full of anti-UM rhetoric and recruits for fsu.

i tend to agree with the mods in this BTW thing i dont care what my high school coach told me if i REALLY want to go to a school thats up to me and my family ice isnt Matthew or Denver's dad to force them to fsu or ark (which i dont think he would) but he is treons dad do i think he forced treon to fsu? no but treon has to do 4 years in boring tallahassee ice doesnt

And lastly, what kind of coach ***** around like this with the local university. One day he is going to have a player whose dream it was to play for UM and Al is going to have to tell the kid sorry, you're a borderline prospsect and I save my borderline ships for schools that actually take my program seriously.
