Slowest Miami team ever in 2015?

Lulz, they had more team speed than all of their opponents save for FSU and UL, and even there it's pretty close.

Elder? Really? He's a nice player, but everyone remembers him getting left in the dust by Corvin Lamb when trying to catch him from behind in the season opener vs. Louisville.

Burns can legitimately fly, but he's the exception when you look at the current roster. This should never be a program nearly devoid of freak athletes, which is what Golden is turning it into because of his ridiculous obsession with measurables over athleticism, playing ability, and everything else.

He is easily top 3 on the team as it relates to game breaking ability. Put him on kick return and I bet he take a couple of TDs to the house.

That's the whole point. If Corn Elder is one of the three most "explosive" players on your roster, that's a problem. Nice player, but not a burner.

Spin job is in full force this thread but they don't want to hear the truth...

You're the one talking about Malcolm Lewis being a low 4.4 speed guy, but it's everyone else who doesn't want to hear the truth?

Plenty of speed on this team. You put that speed in closed quarters and ask them to slug it out and then it becomes a problem. On defense we would look alot faster if we played to the strengths of the surrounding recruiting area. Thats even with the current guys on the roster.

All your wr don't have to run a 4.3 to be good. Baylor, tcu, usc, fsu etc don't have great speed and their offenses are explosive.

Guaranteed the wrs we do have are faster than most of those teams.

Most corners are in the 4.5 range in the 40 so the speed is fine. Watch the combine usually 10 wrs at the most run a sub 4.5.

i think its the style of play. when we let loose against FSU in 1st half, we looked just as fast as them.

I love how you took all of our receivers times and knocked it down a tenth of a second, stop with the spin job..... Lewis 4.43 coley 4.3 waters 4.3 berrios 4.48 were reported times....

If you think Lewis is hanging up a legit 4.43...

Miami's reported 40 yard dashes have been fairly accurate as it relates to the NFL combine. I'm just saying.... Don't think they would report something false for one player

1. Hand times reported by colleges are ALWAYS faster than what the kid actually runs.

2. I guess you don't watch games. Lewis ain't the same. That's not a true 4.4. kid.

Coley is fast as **** man. He burnt the **** out of a few corners this year.

Duke game but he dropped the pass, burnt fsu twice this year and last year but qbs couldn't get it to him, burnt the corner from usce but kaaya threw it behind him.

On defense as far as athleticisim grace & owens way more explosive than armbrister, kamalu over pierre, aqm & chad over chick.

This system is the problem on d because they just ask guys to stay in their gaps and in coverage drop to your spots on the field.

chad, aqm, kamalu, jenkins, etc their problems are technique not athleteticism

We would look a lot faster if the offense wasn't micromanaged by golden to cover up the defense deficiencies...

were slow in everything offense, defense special teams tempo you name it were SLOW
keeping my negative thoughts to a mild roar as I think Al is ands Blake are gone after we gets new President

The Team is isn't slow, the team just plays slow. It honestly looks like everyone runs the exact same 40 time by the style of play we have. Ypu can't tell the difference who is DL or LB

Burns and Grace are the only 2 who strike me as "fast" defensively. Everyone else might be fast but not fast enough to show out in this scheme

If you watched the TCU game against Ole Miss you realized how F'd up our system is..Those TCU guys looked fast as ****! But im sure none run as fast as our guys..Just the scheme that allows them to run crazy and make plays. That simple. Smh.

I actually think we're slow. The young wideouts outside of Berrios were running 4.8's. Our corners outside of Burns and Crawford ran close to 4.6. And there's no way Lewis runs a 4.4. Before the injury he wasn't that fast. Against FSU we didn't look all that fast. We just exploited their DE on our tight end and no one in college can cover PD on deep routes. This team is a lot slower than past teams. Most teams kill us running to the outside. Look at that reverse against USCe.
