My impression from what I read when he came out of HS is that he was not all that fast given that he was CB.

My impression from what I read when he came out of HS is that he was not all that fast given that he was CB.

Tracy Howard is the one guy I might call "slow" in that secondary. The other guys, when we say they're not really fast, we're inevitably getting caught up in comparisons with fast 'Canes teams of old. But Tracy, I think I saw just under a 4.7. I'm one of those guys who thinks raw speed is overrated, but being that slow at corner can get you in some trouble.

Burns's speed is actually overrated. He's explosive but more of a 4.45-4.5 guy. I believe Crawford is our fastest corner.

Exactly how I see Burns. He's fast enough to be a great DB, but he's nowhere near a burner.
