Sionara choc

Why is Mayes leaving with the DB's as such a question mark? Unless the staff has already told him, you suck.

Bandy, Dean, Dallas, Young, Redwine, Jaquan...he wasn't going to play imo

Who knows if Richt bothers to attempt to talk any of them out of it but this is what right now is being said by them around the locker room. Mayes problem other than his talent is no better than any of our other suspect dbs is confidence is no shortcoming of his. Much like courtell if he was always producing & putting on for the team then his argument would carry a Lil weight. But if you can't sniff the field & you continuously try to start issues with the corners ahead of you then you're not worth the time. He honestly believes if it wasn't for the one injury he had since he's been here than he should've started over everybody but his best friend artie... you take it from there. What can you do bout that?

Mayes leaving after doing exactly what we, non professional evaluators, knew he would do...nothing. And Quincy, who wasn't offered as a CB, potentially going in the first round in the same year.... SMH. Golden really was a special one

Jesus Christ wsup with these spelling police...? Just read the fuqin post u obviously understood and post reply. Acting like this **** a job interview or u making a resume or some ****, people been trying that **** for years about proper writing bs. Who DA fuq cares?

I agree and disagree. I don't mind people spelling things wrong or abbreviating, but I shouldn't have to stare at a "word" for 5 seconds trying to figure out what the **** someone is spelling.

end of the day choc was overrated. my friend who is a coach i respect watched gray hs tape for 2 minutes on this site years back and told me "these kids on this board know nothing about football, this kid is not going to any D1 school and doing this at that level of football. He has no RB instincts, runs upright, plays some weak competition, and said a few other things i forget" im not knocking anyone on this board. the reality is im not a coach and most of the people on this board arent a coach or havent played high level of football. NO ONE expected gray to be as good as this board did.

I like how "and said a few other things I forget" is in quotes as part of what the coach told you

Woah wish them well we gonna close big or preparing for stars and these kids know it some shouldn't be here but that's on golden but I believe coach knows what a good player looks like we know that regardless of how Georgia let him go his eyes don't lie to him he knows talent and very good to great talent have walked thru Georgia during his watch I know he will know how to close you don't do this 30 plus years and not learn something I truly believe we got it right for once with this coach situation

Punctuation lesson for the day. Period- the point or character (.) used to mark the end of a declarative sentence, indicate an abbreviation, etc.; full stop. a full pause, as is made at the end of a complete sentence; full stop.

Righteous!

Had high hopes for Choc but he hasn't shown anything.

DMoney hyped him up to be the next Darren McFadden.

He's usually great but that was probably his worst ever evaluation.

this board has hyped alot of people up. They still act like Cager will be Amari Cooper next year. That's why im scared of crowning perry before he gets here.

Cager is nowhere near Cooper. He's a #3 option at best. Big target, decent hands, no ability to separate.

The Perry hype is also out of control. His mechanics suck. He's got a high ceiling but a redshirt would be in his best interests. If he's starting at any point next year, we're in huge trouble.

cager was highly recruited not just Miami was after him bama was after him also. he has talent. is big would be a nice redzone target and is capable of being a number 2, lets be honest Richards is the number 1. berrios is slot right now and mullins will fight for the 2 slot with cager. in spring at least. njoku , and whoever else Miami gets at wr could compete also but cager isn't a golden special he was a 4 star recruit

Depending on the site (247, Rivals), Cager was a 3 or 4 star (5.8) recruit back in 2015. From what I recall last year before he unfortunately got hurt, coaches and I think Cager himself were saying he needs to play taller / to his height and work on his speed. Hopefully he has and will continue to improve in those areas and have the ability to get separation, as mentioned by the other poster.

I wish we could organize a list of kids Golden offered/signed and their current status compared to the kids he ignored/didn't sign.

It's probably good for a separate thread. But I will say that after Coley came on board (along with Scott, Ice, Beard, Baez, Darrow), recruiting and evaluations got much better. All those Freshmen AAs were first identified by Golden's staff (though I don't think Golden/D'O were too high on Pinckney IIRC). It was just too late for the older Wilson. The problem is they couldn't win games for ****, and a lot of the best local players refused to play in their ****** system. A lot more of those kids stay home if we win 10 games each season.
