Kid was the worse back up QB ever
you knew he was bad when Rosier was named the starter

I'm sure it became clear to him during "the drive" against Pitt that he isn't quite good enough. Never was. Not his fault. ***-hole Golden never should've offered him.
Seems like a great kid. As for QB, he should have never been allowed in the door. Imagine, he was going toe to toe with Rosier. Lol. Tells you how bad the QB situation is. Hopefully, Richt has learned something from watching Fromm, Hurts, and Tagovailoa...if they are young and good...let them play...throw them in the fire and see who survives.
Those two teams have tremendous offensive line and running back talent/depth. We don't. Richt doesn't need to learn anything, and you're absolutely clueless. Please delete your account.
I'll be shocked if he doesn't end up at UConn.
When did UNC beat us with freshman QB? I remember losing to Durant, Williams and Trubisky but none were Freshman. We lost a few other games to them where I can't remember who the QB was.Seems like a great kid. As for QB, he should have never been allowed in the door. Imagine, he was going toe to toe with Rosier. Cincinnati. North Carolina. Pittsburg. A few schools with Freshmen QBs that have beaten Miami. Did they have solid O linemen? Delete your life.
Not surprising. His brother was also a grad transfer and the writing was on the wall that he wasn't even going to make 2nd string in the spring. Good luck to the guy.,

His brother was not a grad transfer. He transferred to UConn from NCSU after his freshman year. Three-year starter who quit because he had one concussion too many. Evan's only offers were VMI and a couple of Ivy's out of high school. And of course, Coley pulled the string on him late. I'm guessing he's head to an FCS school.
Any chance Rosier can join him?

This isn't out of the question depending on the progress made by Perry, Weldon, Williams.
It's possible that he not only loses his job during the spring, but that he's not even 2nd string.
IMO it was only matter of time. He was destined to fall behind Perry, Rosier, Weldon and most likely also Williams.
He was the least mobile of our QB's so he didn't fit into our future offense.
I also agree that soon Weldon may be gone
Hey he’s got his degree from the University of Miami and can say he was a QB at UM for the remainder of his natural life.
He graduated in 3 years and now has the opportunity to possibly go somewhere where he could got more snaps than he would ever have at Miami, while getting an advanced degree.
It’s a win win for everyone all around.
Smart kid, will be successful as a coach or in his chosen professsion, and by all accounts a good teammate. No reason for anyone to trash him.

Yep, kid could have gone Ivy League and played from the jump and get a solid education...at least he got his degree at UM!
