Shrieffs Transfering

IMO it was only matter of time. He was destined to fall behind Perry, Rosier, Weldon and most likely also Williams.

He was the least mobile of our QB's so he didn't fit into our future offense.

I also agree that soon Weldon may be gone

Didn't we have a player say Shirreffs had the best wheels of the bunch? It was more his arm strength than anything.

I see no need in bashing Shirreffs. He graduated from UM in 3 years, which is something no one on here has done, or could do. Especially not playing football at the same time. He also pushed Rosier for the job, which ultimately made him better. He's not a scrub, he's just not going to get playing time with Perry maturing, and Williams coming in.

NEVER heard that one ( see above) and if it was said they were probably talking about his car's wheels.... but regardless I wasn't knocking Shirreffs, he is what he is.

I just never saw him as a starting QB here and obviously neither does he now. So nothing to argue about

I wish him the best, same as I do any other former Miami players

Any chance Rosier can join him?

I hope so. I don't even want to entertain the idea Rosier plays another down for us next year. (Remember as a backup dude didn't even watch film - Got complacent as a STARTER so he will definitely become complacent as a backup)

Besides, if he is smart he would use this season to guarantee himself a starting gig at a smaller P5 school or AAC school.

Yes Evan does have very good mobility and can out run backers. He is a pocket QB though and would run as a last resort so it wasn't put on display as much as Rosier's running ability.

Seems like a great kid. As for QB, he should have never been allowed in the door. Imagine, he was going toe to toe with Rosier. Lol. Tells you how bad the QB situation is. Hopefully, Richt has learned something from watching Fromm, Hurts, and Tagovailoa...if they are young and good...let them play...throw them in the fire and see who survives.

Those two teams have tremendous offensive line and running back talent/depth. We don't. Richt doesn't need to learn anything, and you're absolutely clueless. Please delete your account.

Cincinnati. North Carolina. Pittsburg. A few schools with Freshmen QBs that have beaten Miami. Did they have solid O linemen? Delete your life.
When did UNC beat us with freshman QB? I remember losing to Durant, Williams and Trubisky but none were Freshman. We lost a few other games to them where I can't remember who the QB was.

I'll be honest. I was shooting from the hip. I know there have been 4 or 5 freshmen (I think Louisville too) that have punked Miami (even before Richt). And since I am not a petty *** mf that obviously knows the point I was making is valid...I don't feel the need or obligation to debate this any further....talented freshmen should start regardless of seniority and oline situation...

This board is full of losers living in their parents basements. They dream of being Evan Shireffs.

nah, I wasn't commenting on the stupidity of your point (which is debatable). I was commenting on the stupidity of your comparisons. Miami doesn't have Alabama or Georgia talented/depth on the offensive line. I appreciate your honesty about shooting from the hip, but do yourself a favor and know WTF you're talking about before you post.

Lmao at anyone-- even in the most dire of situations -- dreaming of being a weak-armed QB on his way to D2.

Cut to a sweltering African mudhut at night. A family, comprised of nothing more than bones and 20 pounds of flesh among them if they're lucky, huddles on the dirt floor in the corner. Surrounded by disease-ridden flies and crippled by fear and hunger, they fight to remain still as they are stalked by a lion just outside their "home." The youngest boy, Clickclak, grips his 2017 Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Champions t-shirt tightly and closes his eyes. His family shakes and their eyes widen with every growl and rustle of grass, but Click remains stoic and unfazed. The next day, his brother asks him how he always remains so calm. How does he stay happy and hopeful in these dreadful conditions?

In his thickest African accent, he looks out into the horizon and with more conviction than any man can muster, replies "In the darkest of times, when all hope is lost, and the temptation to surrender to my thoughts that life is evil and meaningless and I will die only knowing pain and horror is at its greatest, the only thing that keeps me going, the ONLY thing... is my dream. My dream of being Evan Sherrifs."

Rosen of UCLA. Goff of Cal. Browning of WA. Hackenburgh of Penn St. And your bromance partner Brad Kaaya. Freshmen that have started. Were their lines elite? Are those comparable for you? Muthafckn dummies on here hung up on the dumbest things. There should be an age requirement to post here.

Yeah, imagine the horror of being 6'5" 215, and able to graduate UM in 3 years. Dude has a great life ahead of him, and is more than likely already getting more tail than you. Pretty sure his life looks more promising than most on this board.
