I don't agree. He can play at an FCS school, maybe a Group of 5 school. I think it was both, he saw the writing on the wall that he'd be no better than 4th on the depth chart (maybe 3rd depending on what Malik does) and Richt also probably told him to find other options.

Perry took 2nd team reps from him while he is taking a rs. That should tell you what you need to know.
