And here's something else the people on the BOT who are pushing this know that the minute Butch becomes coach, ticket sales will go up the whole state of Miami would be walled off from the other colleges and money would start coming back into the university again.

There are people on the BOT who know this. That's why this is happening. This whole interview was not an accident.

Butch isn't stupid. Why should he ***** up his chances of getting hired when he knows that at some point Golden is going to be let go as probably as well as Blake James.

Butch wants back.

His cushy job at Espn probably makes as much or a little less than a HC gig, which requires a lot more work.

I think he genuinly loves the program.
 
If the BOT were to sidestep Shalala, fire Golden and hire Butch, the increased revenue from a top, winning program could offset some of the millions Donna wasted on the UM hospital BS.

Mike Tyson has more business sense than Shalala.

it feels like Butch's return to UM is inevitable to everyone except the UM administration.

JJ may have publicly supported Golden, in the past, because he was the established HC. However, Butch is a product of his coaching tree. I have to believe that, privately, JJ is paddling for Butch as hard as he can.

If all this works out for Butch (fingers crossed), you watch the public support that JJ, and others, will heap on him.
