Shodell on the morning podcast show

Cam basically changed most of the plays before the snap.. like that was something we always saw last year. Along with the fact he’s a great improviser.

There’s been insiders that have said he was doing it too
didnt cam say himself that he would change the calls at the line

You do understand Shodell has to attend press conferences and face this staff. You think he's going to create bull**** knowing he has to see this staff face to face.Just because the news is disappointing and bothers us,don't mean it's not true.
I know he’s in the pressers (I watch them all) but he obviously doesn’t have very good sources. ALL the clown reporters ask softball questions for fear of getting a band and looking like the clowns they truly are.

Does Shoddell have credentials and ask questions at the Monday pressers?

I ask, because if he is putting this out on a podcast, how about asking these questions directly?

The country club comment is really strange to put out there. Doesn't at all fit what Mario does in practices.

The slower pace, I don't think anyone that's watched games this year thinks we aren't playing at a slower pace from last year, so that's not really going out on a limb. The part about doing it to protect players on defense due to depth, that's an opinion more than anything. You want to win the TOP battle and grind teams. Kind of the point of the game? If they don't have the ball and you are putting together successful drives the team gets less possessions. It didn't happen Friday, so now it's a fact that's been the plan all along lol.

If Beck really is doing that, then we will lose more games and his stock wllh go in the crapper, again. I don't think he would self sabotage that way, but who tf knows.

I really wish if this is how these reporters felt and heard things from "sources" they would ask it and confirm it. Not sure most have the stones to do it though. Instead they put these things out for views, clicks, and likes.
He has credentials and you can hear him weekly asking the staff questions.

The malpractice was getting in a situation were Beck was the only option left and you were lucky to has him
They went all in to get Mateer & he said no thanks Mendoza I believe was committed to joining Indiana the way and it was either Beck or whatever off the scrap heap or Emory. Were most likely 4-2 or 3-3 with Emory starting this szn

agree they are all terrified of Mario, who has created this environment where reporters just toss softballs at him.We need an Omar Kelley type covering the canes, who the staff and most of the fan base hates because he's willing to challenge them.

Would be interesting to see one of those candyasses challenge Mario. Probably wouldn’t see him the next week. LOL.

Would not be surprised..
Cam did literally anything he wanted lol. The coaches got heat for Cuse and GT ( rightfully so) but cam changed alot of runs to passes in both games . He did it against Duke too , to get another late TD pass and he threw a pick. I’ve never seen a college qb with that much control.

I agree with this but there is one thing that just doesn’t correlate with me and Mario:

The Penalties.

I don’t understand it. He never punishes people for them. It hasn’t improved. It kills us in the games.

They haven’t fixed the line jumping every time the defensive line moves/shifts.

Boom!! 5 yards.
Drives me crazy. Worst part is I never see our dline do that same bull**** trick.

If I was the coach, our dline would be doing it to our oline every day in practice 500 times until they stop jumping with it.

But again, this has more to with with like intelligence as a coach. Not effort. Mario prolly just tells them to dial in and focus harder, instead of trying a smarter approach.

But im not only gonna blame coaches for that. Its inexcusable as a player. You know the god dam snap count.

I don’t believe all of this is true

But even if 25% is aka the passive offensive strategy that’s no bueno

We need to have a killer attitude, none of this fake tough guy but really he’s an over analyzing, trying to micromanage wins as a HC stuff

I am ok with what you wrote minus one thing - He never punishes people for them.

Do you KNOW this as fact? Dumb example, but an example nonetheless was Samson's false start. He and Brockermeyer clearly are like my labrador retriever when they see movement. They jump. Just happens. Does Mario not call out Samson and Brock during film? Does he not make them run/squat/bear crawl as punishment? Does he not limit snaps because of them? I'm aslking because I don't know one way or the other and because I honestly think Mario does punish these boneheaded plays, but boneheads gonna bonehead (pause). If you have teenaged kids, you know what I'm talking about. Ask your 15 year old daughter to clean her room. Punish her when it's still dirty. Punish her again...and again...and again....that room is staying dirty until SHE decides she wants to clean it. That's my point.

I'm 100% not picking on you or your comments.

Back to being sad....

Beck had a bad game. Forced it into coverage three times for INTs with one getting overturned on late hit. 4th down on McCoy. Last INT was tipped or isn’t one. Remove any and we likely win. The 3&4 INTs were actually on the same drive to the same player(3rd overturned).

That still means 2 ints could be on the OL.

I’m still more concerned with Dawson, Mario, and Mesidor. Do we go even more conservative with Mesidor hurt?
