I'd listen to TheClownShoe when it comes to matters involving Al's fat *** because his face is buried in it.No.
Seat isn't even room temperature.

No chance he gets fired this year unless a new President is hired faster than anticipated and that new President fires Blake James.
The President doesn't decide who the football coach is, the board of trustees do.
I agree that things will begin to just spin out of control with a loss to Duke.
Realistically though, if you look at our schedule, there isn't a break there left where Godlen can quickly amass some easy wins to shore up his support. There are no more cupcakes. Even GT in Atlanta will be a war. Cincinnati is a good team. UNC is the only game which I am confident in. They are trash. We will prolly beat Pitt.
UVA will kill us up there. Godlens ceiling at this point is 7-5 and he's likely to be 6-6. He is toast and I think he knows it,
if we beat pitt, nc , bt cin gtare up in the air who esle can we beat? Every one of those teams are better than Nebraska on our schedule after that. VT, DUKE, FSU, VA all better than Nebraska
I think we will go 1-1 against GT/Duke. I think our offense will power us to a win over Cincinnati in a close contest. I think VT is lame but we will find a way to lose in Blacksburg. FSU is a loss. Miami will beat UNC convincingly. Miami will get hammered at Virginia and come home for a close win against Pitt.
6-6

Huh? I'm pretty sure the Athletic Director picks with the blessing of the BOT. Am I wrong?
I still think Shalala retiring bought him another year, but that's purely speculation on my part. The wild card would be the BOT stepping in before the new President is named, but that would assume the BOT is as upset about the situation as we all are.
If I'm not mistaken circumstances required a lame duck hiring Coker (although shalala was announced but not in control yet)I still think Shalala retiring bought him another year, but that's purely speculation on my part. Shalala is a lame duck at this point. The BOT and LeBlanc (provost) are running the school. Leblanc will be interim Pres while they search for a new president. If Golden does retain his job, it isn't due to presidential changes.
It's blazing hot. Forget what you hear or don't hear from Blake James, Shalala, your friends friend who's cousin is on the BOT. Look at the facts and use your head:
1. It's year 4 and we're having the same errors as year 1 despite the fact that we have plenty of talent now. The defense still sucks. The whole team sucks.
2. We're 4-6 in our last 10 games (maybe acceptable in year 1 of a rebuild, but not in year 4)
3. He loses every single time we play a team with a pulse and every time we play a really good team we get blown out. In 4 years Al's best win is vs 8-5 GT.
4. He tried to bolt to Penn State just a few months ago.
5. Attendance is going to be abysmal the rest of the year.
If you've followed this program for a long time, you know. You can see it coming. When the fans, former players, and media turn on you, it's over. And for Al, the end is near. It's just a matter of time now. Those that think he's not on the hot seat have short memories. Think about Shannon. That guy was Shalala's dream hire. A black man as a head coach. A guy who had a great story about making it out of the hood and succeeding. A former player, a Miami Hurricane through and through. If that guy can get fired in year 4 (coming off a 9-4 season by the way), you're being obtuse if you think Al can't and won't.

and his contract?
last year I thought this but Golden made a fatal flaw. His seat isn't even warm yet. It would take a couple of non-bowl seasons. Empty seats at Sun Life in not the answer. That place always looks empty. I'm not saying this is what I want. This is what I think the situation actually is.

I'm not worried about it. This is big business. UM has professionals in this arena that work on things like this. It doesn't stand to reason that UM would sign a long term contract where they would have absolutely no recourse should things not work out. I'm sure there's a buyout, it's probably not an insignificant amount, but probably not an insurmountable amount either. There is going to be a point where it makes more financial sense to pay the buyout and fire the guy than continue to suffer the lost revenue from fielding a ****ty team.
No one knows unless someone on this board has a relationship with Blake James.
Wait until Duke comes into Sun Life and puts up 500+ and 40+ points in a 10+ point loss at home.
In all honesty, there is a chance we lose out and finish with 2 wins.
