SEC Slurping

The ACC “good teams” Miami and VT are right now in the same tier as MSU, TXA&M, and Maybe even South Carolina. If Miami switched places with Old Miss, MS would run through the coastal.

They loss to Louisville and Ole Miss last year. And we are currently clowning Mullen in Gator tears...whoa there buddy stop riding d*ck

Miami will be the first team that they take where LSU was ranked when they beat Miami into consideration. I can just hear it, LSU was not good when they beat Miami they got better after that, so that's a bad loss for Miami.

Just kidding, kinda...well, not really.

Who cares? We got blown out by LSU. We were down 30. We haven’t beaten a P5 team and we’ve looked mediocre. Why would anyone move us up?

We are realistically a 12-15 type of team right now and that’s nothing to be shamed of at this point.

It IS kinda ridiculous to make arguments for LSU being good by citing their wins over "two top 10 teams" while making arguments about how unworthy Miami is. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle on this one. There do appear to be some good teams in the SEC this year, (2 greats, maybe 2 goods) but the conference as a whole still gets too much of a benefit when they lose compared to other conferences. The bias exists, but they have had a good start this year.

A loss is a loss but a barely loss and getting your as$ kicked is different
I get that I’m not saying we didn’t deserve to drop to 22, I’m saying they should drop more then two spots. One 5-10 team entered the game and two 5-10 teams left the game. They should have to earn there way back more then that.

So do you think LSU deserves to be 6? If that’s the case does Texas am deserve to jump into the top ten after almost beating Clemson in a competitive game? Maybe my thinking is off but IMO losses should hurt your chances more then dropping two spots as if you didn’t even lose a game. I mean Clemson won and dropped one spot less then a team that lost.

TAMU is 100% under ranked. They would have won without the bad call.

We looked like a bunch of high functioning retards for 2 and a half quarters on national TV. But I still think dropping 15 spots was a bit harsh. I think dropping 6 or 8 spots would have been more appropriate, especially considering LSU has gone on to show that beating us wasn't a one-off fluke.

Absolutely LSU should be 6. They have beaten 2 ranked teams already.

And no, A&M shouldn't be top 10 for playing Clemson close bc they haven't beaten any teams of value.

Auburn stayed in the top 10 bc they lost to a top 10 but also beat a top 10. They couldn't be slotted below Washington, who is only 2 spots down, because they just beat them. They could have been slotted below Penn State. And yes, all teams could have shifted and a WVU, Miss State, VT or OSU could have jumped them, but i'm guessing they are using the eye test right now and waiting for it to naturally sort itself out. Auburn is a very good team.
But then I’ll ask u has Washington looked overrated or nah? Has penn st looked like a top 10 team? Losing at home in week 3, imo should hurt more than a team (Miami) traveling across country for a “neutral” site game. I just think the rankings should be held off on until week 4 or 5. They say the committee is picking the teams they deem the best on the field. But then they retroactively use ranking from week 1,2,3 or 4. Knowing that the ranking historically and notoriously carry bias for certain programs like sec teams, ND, or a Texas now those bias thoughts creep into committe members heads when they are decidind who’s in and who’s out...No team is the same from weeks 1-4 compared to what they are in oct or nov. but that’s just me

Auburn wasn't down 30-3 for starters.

Furthermore, Auburn lost on a last sec fg against a top 15 team. We got blown out as the # 8 team to a team barely on the cusp of top 25. Plus we were on a 3 game losing streak entering the game. Let’s just say we got the Denny Green treatment

I don't disagree with the bolded statement - i actually agree. It's just not what's in place right now and i don't see it changing because it drives debate/conversation.

I actually think it would make the sport more interesting for college football fans. Not taking about the die hard fans who only follow one team. But the ppl (myself) who love college football and could sit and watch any game (marquee games). Then you’d know absolutely everygame counts. Plus I pray they get rid of these “neutral site” games. But it’s too much money to be made of these young men. Same goes with rankings

How about the Big Ten? A few ESPN dip****s had two teams from there in the final four - and one wasn't Ohio State. Their picks, Michigan and Wisconisn are already one - loss teams. Chances are they both will end up with 2

If you think LSU and Auburn don’t belong where they’re currently ranked, you didn’t watch Auburn and LSU play each other on Saturday.

I’m a cane junkie and an SEC hater (I went to UF and had to endure the Tebow years) but my eyes saw NFL defensive players all over the field on Saturday. And real NFL players. Not Kendrick Norton and RJ.

If knowles, dean, bethel, Mahoney, and Jahir went into Auburn right now, they’d look like absolute bafoons. And those guys get meaningful full snaps for us (whether they should is a different story)

We’re all chasing the talent level of the LSU’s and Auburn’s right now, and if you think otherwise, you’re lying to yourself.
