"SEC-izing" - who is next???

They listed a five year "run" for attendance for 130 schools- Miami came in at number 35. Which means that approximately 95 schools produced attendance figures worse than Miami. This was for years 2014-2018.

This is exactly why college football fans around the country laugh at the way Miami fans conduct themselves as "big time" UM supporters. The same way college coaches negatively recruit about all things related, currently, to the football program as a whole.

It's no mystery as to why they hire crap coaches and lagged so long in facilities.

No idea what your point is

Wtf does thIs rambling cliche fest even mean.

Jesus Christ man...….how dumb are you. Miami fans suck and the admin doesn't care to invest into a product that the fan base continues to not show up for. They don't invest, big time players continue to not choose Miami to play at, the product is weak and fans keep complaining about it while they (fans) don't show up and spend a little dough.

Going to the ACC was the perfect excuse for the Admin to not care about the program. They were getting the money from the ACC no matter how poorly the athletics department was performing.

If you think it's a "cliché" that Miami's fan base is weak, go to the spring game or go to any game that is not a big time rival. Go ask all these kids who have left why it is they didn't choose Miami as a destination. Oh, let me guess, it was the "bags".

If we're 35th out of 130 for attendance from 2014-2018 when we had one 10 win season, are you saying that's bad?

How in THE fuuck is it debatable? That is some hard core Lib shiit right there.
Why should a school be involved in athletics at anything more than a club level? I love watching college football, but isn't the job of a university to educate kids?

And for the hardcore lib shiiit, the rest of the "socialists" in the world run their athletics in a way more cutthroat way than we do. Colleges aren't involved, there isn't parity, there aren't salary caps, and the worst teams get sent down a league (think the last place finisher in each division in MLB gets sent to triple A) instead of the 1st pick in the draft. They spend plenty of money (245 million Euros to buy Neymar for instance) to get players. And that's before paying the best 20 to 30 million a year to play.

I don't understand why its bad that we use donations to pay for things? Literally every other schools do so. Especially state schools because they have to stay within a state provided budget. LSUs locker room for example was all donations.

You say our attendance is good, then complain about kids leaving because of attendance is bad.

You complain about where we play our spring game then complain about no one going.

Dude is all over the place

UM can’t spend money like bama, but I don’t think they have to. At the end of the day college football is about talented players and talented coaches. Those come a lot cheaper than a $500M facilities upgrade.

None of our problems would be solved w a new player only palace of a dorm.

**** I hope I’m not wrong.
I'd argue your first point, Miami does not have as much money as bama or many other schools.

My bigger issue is with your second point. These other schools have realized that they're at a talent stalemate with both players and coaches. Several schools have about the same amount of talent, so they have to find other ways to rise above the competition. Bama keeps hiring more and more staff trying to find a slight advantage in game-planning or whatever. If nothing else, they keep talented coaches away from their rivals. The money is so lopsided that bama can hire coaches it doesn't even need just so Clemson doesn't get them. Think about that for a second. Do you really think Miami has that kind of money? And if they do, what would bama be willing to do if Miami matched them?

At this point it's a game of inches...whoever lands that 1 DT or assistant this year will win a NC in 2 years.

Problem is, we're 27 yards behind and not fast enough to catch up.

Jesus Christ man...….how dumb are you.

Way smarter than you. I have a better job than you, a better degree, have way more money in my bank account, my girl is way better looking than your horse-face cūnt ****... And I don’t spend time on fan site of a team I hate.

You hate the Hurricanes. That’s the only reason you’re on the site - to hate on them. Tell me who the dumb one is?

Every single one of your posts is hating on this team.

It doesn’t matter that we have a sucky coach, we could have the best coach in the world, we could be winning 11-12 games a year consistently, you’d still be hating on them.

You just hate the Miami Hurricanes - and that’s why you are here. It’s clear from all your posts.

EDIT: ....and now you’re BAND - LOL

Yeah, he'll have to catch up with you in a week.

Sorry. Miami fans are cheap compared to other fan bases, whether we are winning or not. That’s just a fact, Always has been. Also, Miami fans are notorious frontrunners. Just the way it is. Not all, of course. We have a decent but small core.

I don't know how to judge that. We haven't had a dominant season in any sport where I can point and say look- fans arent donating for winning teams. Donations up to now would largely be wasted. You could donate 5 million and Miami football still wins 6 games. I would go so far as to say donating could be counterproductive as it feeds the narrative that Blake James is a good fundraiser (pretty much the only positive thing anyone has to say). By being a superfan donating to a losing program, it only further entrenchs James.

Fine. Then don’t complain about facilities.

Also, James record will catch up with him. The donations are going to be irrelevant at that point.

I’m not quite sure you know how it actually works as far as his continued employment.

When the SEC expands, Miami better be ready. Cause Clemson, FSU and a few others will be. Unless CFB changes drastically after they start paying for likeness, my only concern would be all the visitors fans overtaking our fans at Hard Rock.
Lulz....

Do you disagree that the facilities are good enough to win the ACC coastal? We managed that once in two decades. Money isn't the problem. If we were always finishing top 15 but not able to get over the hump, then the haves vs have nots argument would be valid. Instead we see other low revenue programs regularly fielding quality teams, where Miami hasn't been able to finish top 10 since 2005.

The workflow is

1. Win division consistently
2. Fans donate because see progress
3. School invests in program
4. Win conference, make playoffs every 3 years or so

There’s only 3-4 teams making the playoff every 3-4 years.

Since the playoffs started, one of those spots has included Oklahoma four times, Washington, Michigan State, and FSU. I don't see any reason we cant get to Oklahoma's level.
