Sam Bruce good enough to start my mid season?

Different position but this seems eerily reminiscent of the Trayone Gray talk. Here's to hoping we don't even NEED to find out this year how good Bruce is.

HE dropped one pass against FSU that i can remember and that didnt cost us the game..cmon mane...he looked plenty fast on that reverse against Washington State... He looked explosive
 
If Richt can use shifts & motions to create mis-matches, an offense with Yearby,Walton,Bruce,Richards (if He signs), & Njoku on the field at the same time, would be a b!t(h to defend.
Yearby & Walton's exceptional hands for RBs makes this offense **** near "positionless".

FB - Edwards (FB in H.S.)
TE - Herndon/Njoku

That's a big, fast, and pretty physical lineup

Running Pro-Set, Power-I , or Shotgun. I think you can really be multiple with our personnel
 
I haven't seen Berrios high point a ball at his max vertical as a Cane. I don't even know if I've seen him catch one with just his hands. Seems like it has to be in the numbers for him to catch it.

There are like ten of those high point highlights in Bruce's high school video.

Bruce one hands that FSU ball and then gets 15 yards for taunting.

No way Edwards goes to fullback. Don't sleep on him this year . And dont forget Richt likes big backs

Never saw Bruce as a 10th grader but living in Raleigh allowed me to watch Berrios and Leesville Road several times... There are several reasons he was so high on everyone's list coming out of high school but lets just go with the highest sparq rating at the Opening in Oregon his graduating year. Possibly you don't remember how Kaaya raved about him and actually recruited him to Miami away from all the offers from the big boys....I can feel pain for him because of two years of serious injuries that he tried to play through....I'm a Cane fan and I am absolutely joyed at having both Berrios and Bruce at the "U".
 
I'll be honest, I expect Bruce to be the backup to Berrios for most of the season and be ready at any momment. I think those two will probably battle it out for a whole season on who can out do who. I think Berrio's thickness will lead him to more playing time.

I spent a few years in Raleigh and there is decent competition in that area.....

Good troll, you got some.

Since this offense will be different, everyone is basically starting from square one. Bruce is already the better receiver of the two IMO. While small, he trumps Berrios in every other measuable trait at the position. Both will see the field, but I don't see Berrios keeping Bruce off the field.

To date, Berrios has been nothing but the great white hype. A lot of people keep thinking the next white guy on campus will be another Wes Welker, but I don't see that at all so far from him.
 
Cager isnt that fast.....HE can get open though... A. Richards looks like a stick nota as explosive as Stacey COley was his senior year... BRuce has the toughness and make up to play Freshman year Im pretty sure he will get plays ran for him...However Berrios is more explosive then Bruce IMO..Berrios just has no return skills..Hopeing Berrios can stay injury free bery weird for a thick compact 5'9 receiver to continue to have knee injuries and they both happened on non contact situations

you must of missed the part when he got ran down when he was 10 yards in the open on the wild cat play. He made that catch the game was over nice try
