Sam Bruce good enough to start my mid season?

Bruce was better than Berrios as a 10th grader. Best advice I can give to Berrios, don't try to out-Bruce Bruce!...He'll tear & break every cartilage & bone from the kneecap down if He does.

I think Bruce will be used on special teams and gimmick plays. That is, if he doesn't beat out Berrios.

With a new coach, a new offensive system and new philosophy almost every position is up for grabs.
I am not going to underestimate anyone on this team. But I am also not going to over hype anyone either.
It is going to be fun to see who picks ups things quickly and who get's left behind.

+1. It ought to be interesting to see who adapts quickly. Also, not to beat a dead horse but the first four weeks of the schedule are a God send for a team learning new systems on both sides of the ball. Outside of that concern, the player I'm most interested to watch next year is Njoku. He's probably the only thing I'd thank Dorito for.....kids a beast.

I'm trying to get excited about Bruce but in watching 7 or so minutes of film on the guy I just don't see why he gets 4 stars !!

He goes down on first contact pretty consistently-----does not have speed that stands out---is not a big target for the QB--cannot block downfield for the running game. I'm seeing all this vs HS competition and I'm afraid it will be magnified at the next level.

Berrios finally showed us a little of what he can be in the bowl. Both Berrios and Bruce will be on the field next year. Kaaya has a lot of weapons next year, we just need the kids to add depth.

We need to keep Kaaya upright and healthy and all will be fine!

He is pretty good but he definitely gets overrated already. He wasnt even the best WR on his high school team last season so I doubt he starts for us at any point next season.

Whether he starts or not is irrelevant. The key point is he'll be in the rotation, get PT and likely play a role in special teams.

Lulz, Berrios and/or Bruce will hardly touch the ball if they don't solve the incredible OL deficiencies.

Not sure what video you are watching dude.

Kid is lightning fast and has incredible change of direction. He is not a RB....who cares if he goes down after contact?

Any WR coming in this year can compete for immediate playing time. We have one Miami caliber WR currently on the roster.

We have two and a half..Coley and Cager are def UM caliber WRs. I am not going to throw away Berrios just yet but its time to show and prove this year for him. He needs to lock in his spot this spring and not play around because Bruce is coming for his a$$ come Fall...

shouldn't guys in the slot see the balls more if you have a bad OL? usually the outside guys suffer from bad OL's more
