Ryan mayes

We have 5 CBs thats not good at all, Redwine can drop back to CB if needed, but this is not ideal at all, Mayes could have left after this season

Redwine can go back to corner in case of emergency. And quan can play nickel.

First year in awhile we have actually been eligible to have 85 scholarships...and we are headed into camp with only 74 scholarship players (including Ford who has yet to report). There must be some reason to trim the numbers this low. Might it have something to do with the early signing period in December causing those scholarships to count toward the 85 immediately? Anyone have any insight on this?

They have to make room for the 18 class.

Yep, we only have 11 seniors so Golden's remaining JAGs need to go if we're going to take a full class

Hard to start competing on a national level again when we are, in essence, keeping ourselves on probation by playing with 74 when the FSU's, VT's, and UNC's are all playing with 85.

The incoming 2018 class should not count against us in 2017. We should be able to start camp with 85, play the season with 85, and then send them on their way before spring to make room for the Storm 18 boyz.

Attrition happens with a new staff in place

We all knew folks were going to get pushed out. That being said, why didn't we sign a full class last year? We only signed 24.

Mayes is a jr which means he would have counted vs next year scholly count if he stayed. He wasnt going to play anyway so you are concerned about nothing. Bama or fsu doesn't play 85 guys.
