Rumor: Milton possibly out for season

Well, if Milton chose to retire he made the right decision. He’s not an NFL prospect, especially with his injury history. There is nothing for him to play for, even if he could survive the season. Why risk further permanent damage, or worse, catastrophic, and lose the leg?

If he wants to get into coaching, have a conversation with the coaches. Work the scout team and be a leader in the QB room.

Focus on the NIL company he and D’Eric formed.

And F-FSU.

Easily a situation of overcompensating for that leg if it’s indeed a foot injury..probably by the way he’s been planting and adjusting to that biomechanic leg brace..I honestly feel for the kid. And if he’s hurt someone in his camp needs to have the tough conversation with him

Good for them. Maybe Milton realized how crappy the OLine was going to be and figured it would only be a matter of time before he would be in a walking boot so he hung it up before hand. On a serious note though that does suck if it is something wrong with the healing from his injury he suffered.
Definitely a blessing in disguise. There's no way he would've survived the season with such mobile limitations with that OL. The non contact injury pre-season should be all the evidence they need to shut him down. And it appears that it's chronic and his focus should be trying to avoid a permanent limp football aside. I’m praying for the kid because that injury was horrific and may affect him and the way he walks the rest of his life.

Milton would have been sidelined by mid-season anyway behind that offensive line.

I really have no idea why he went to Florida State in the first place when anyone can go on YouTube and look at how D. Francois and James Blackmon have been turned into human hamburger meat year after year after year.

I know Travis, their backup is injury prone and isn't a pure passer, but his mobility makes me nervous. He is the only QB on their roster that ever had a chance in that offense.

This was discussed in the Noles Tears thread. And as I said in there, if this is true, it's a blessing for them. Their only hope this year behind that sieve offensive line is Jordan Travis running around making plays.
100% this.
Travis was ALWAYS the best option. During the few minutes he was on the field in that blowout loss to us last year, he gashed us w his legs.

I don’t think people realize how severe that knee injury was. A lot of people think this was the same as an ACL or
Mcl tear but it’s not even close.
An anterior knee dislocation accounts for less than .02% of all orthopedic injuries. I don’t recall anyone except Teddy and Milton having that injury. The caveat being that teddy’s was non contact and Milton’s wasn’t.
But even without the contact teddy’s doctors said his knee looked like something exploded and you couldn’t even recognize it was a knee.
I had an ongoing bet with my coworker who’s a nole and I told him he wouldn’t even make it through camp.
Easy 100 bucks.

I’m wondering if it’s similar to Rusty Medearis’ injury. I understand his injury was similar to accidents with cars and involved very complex and invasive surgery. I also heard or read it was of such severity that it could have resulted in amputation. He tried coming back wasn’t to be.
Not surprised at the spinal problems derived from the knee injury. I have a very bad foot. Physiatrists and PTs have talked about the kinetic chain and how distortions in gait have contributed to some hip and back issues.
Hope you’re successful going forward in dealing with these problems. I feel for you. I go to a pain specialist for occasional injections, do PT from time to time, use non-narcotic painkillers when necessary.
Rusty was told...ANY more injury to his leg...would cause amputation....

Medearis injury was just as bad...if not worse...And at a time when medical procedures where wayyyy more archaic...

The thing about Rusty’s injury is there’s no real clear video of it that I’ve seen, it happened in the line within a bunch of twisted bodies, I’m trying to remember the game I think it was the team from out west, it was like Arizona or Arizona State wasn’t it?
