Another year, another Cane exposed for poor technique on this channel.
No one's job should be safe on the offensive staff.
I didnt even listen to the voiceover, I just watched the video play these plays over and over again. DeeJay didnt do anything wrong on either of the first two plays that you showed. The third play, I saw the QB not even attempt to step into the pocket as the edge rushers close in, however if he does, there is clear room behind 55, and possibly a scramble for a few yards if necessary. (not to mention I remember this play, we were under 2 minutes with 3rd and a mile, and had already given up a boatload of sacks....we should have already made an adjustment in protection with the back, which falls on PEnos and his OL coach buddy)
The 4th play, JW was already moving out of the pocket because once again the edge rusher blows by our weak OT. You froze the play showing Dallas' form I suppose, while you can clearly see two other defenders completely beating OL and our QB has already made a decision to scramble. Then he decides not to protect the ball, and a DB comes up to force a fumble on a careless QB.
The 5th play your cursor was pointing to the gap between the OL and him, and where the defender moves outside and beats him outside...which he was doing regardless. Not sure what you said about it, but Dallas could have forced that guy back in if he stays on the outside shoulder of the defender, when what he should have done was chop that guy at the legs.
The 6th play I saw he block the interior defender and once again JW decides not to step up towards the pocket. So not anything to see wrong with DJ on that either.
