Rooting for the opponent

Root for the program and not the coach. I personally would like to see Golden gone at the end of this year, but if he somehow miraculously pulls out a 10+ win season with an ACC Championship and a win over FSU, I wouldn't have much to say against him.

It's silly to root for your team to lose when you only play 12-15 games a year and coaching turnover in the sport is rather frequent anyway. Life's too short to root against the team. I'll take wins however we can get them Golden or not. The rest will work itself out.

This post is crazy!!! I would never want my favorite team to lose games so that the coach can get fired. Smh, not never, ever, ever. I hope he wins them all and he leaves or maybe he's change his coaching style.

Not that I think golden is half the coach butch is but...... let's not forget there were fire butch Davis banner's flying in the orange bowl at one point in time.

I want nothing more than for Golden to be fired but I cannot physically bring myself to root for losses even though it may be in the best interest of the program in the long run.

That's the way I see it...

No need to concern yourself with details, bad coaching will never succeed...and Golden has consistently proven he is way in over his head.

UM

We all worry about Golden getting to 10+ wins by accident and staying but if he was capable of doing that we wouldn't want to get rid of him. I don't root for us to lose, I just know it's going to happen anyways

I'm a true Cane fan. I don't root against my team. I especially don't root for a rival like some of these pathetic cane ppl

Will begin rooting for us to lose if we lose a few games early. Going into the season hoping for the best because I'm an idiot.

Bo Pellini wasn't too far from the truth in His rant, when He said that the BOTs at NU were rooting for Him to lose. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case when Randy was coach. I don't root for UM to lose, but these days, I'm not as disappointed when they do...shrugs.

I shrug and smile when we win, and shrug and smile when we lose.

You don't have to root for Golden to blow it, he'll take care of that on his own.

I will never root for the other team. NEVER.... No matter how much I want the current staff gone and a new one in place I just can't do it.

Anybody who roots for us to lose is not a true fan, sorry. Come to my section and let me see you dressed in Canes gear cheering against us. And I'll leave it at dat.

Y'all rooting against this program are the reason Miami fans have a bad rep. Go f*** yourself and root for FSU or UF like we know you want to. And sure as f*** don't hop back on the bandwagon once we start winning big.

Will root for every opponent. Have done so since the FSU loss and it has worked like a charm

Could or will you root against Miami in any games this year so that Golden will get fired? I'm torn on this subject. I certainly don't want Miami to get routed by 45 points in any games this year. But what if it's the last play of the game, the opponent is down by 4 and has the ball on the Miami 3 yard line? Imagine that this is in the last game of the regular season vs Pittsburgh, Miami is 5-6, and Shalala has come out with some idiotic statement that bowl eligibility will save Golden's career. I think I'd be rooting for Pittsburgh to make that touchdown. I'd probably be willing to trade a slightly worse season for a long term gain if push comes to shove.

Never
