Robert Burns could have a damien berry type season

Jevarris James stole carries from Berry for a long time before they finally let him play. The one year he actually got to run the ball, he was our best running back.

James was taking those carries cause D just switched over from safety. The way it played out was kinda overlooked magic.

If he’s healthy I think he can be special. Also I don’t think he presently weighs 230 lbs (having met him the other week). If he does weigh that much then he has very little body fat.
Hes probably more like 225, he was 215 in high school, so I wouldn't be surprise if he is 230. But I agree he does not look like that.

And... the jinx is on.

Can't wait to see the injury report tomorrow where it says Burns's leg detached from his body.

There’s no way to jinx burns and his injury’s , unless you jinx him into being healthy.

I make jokes about burns needing bubble wrap and being hurt for 10 years but what’s crazy is he’s as talented as anyone on the roster. Maybe even more talented, unreal gifts.

Not sure if it’s bad luck, he’s soft , doesn’t love the game or what. One of the weirder things I’ve seen.

I wonder if Feeley was able to break down his biomechanics and get him more flexible and build up his supporting muscle groups

I don't know what he did in middle school but he had less than 300 all purpose yards in high school. I'm pretty certain he was ranked top5 by ESPN in his sophmore years purely based of that sparq time because he had literally no other stats. ESPN would also be the last platform of choice to be accurately ranking kids in their sophmore years. And because 247 uses a composite format it immediately vaulted him up the rankings there because 247 doesn't bother with ranking a large portion of kids in their sophmore years.

I trust high schools football stats about as much as I'd trust a delicious batch of Mrs. Fields chocolate cookies to be left untouched in my office lunch room. If you closely watch the offensive portion of his sophomore highlights, he's got close to 300 yards rushing on those runs alone.

Those are his only highlights lol. He legit has less than 100 in game touches total in 5+years.

You can peruse this thread from 3 years ago. https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/what-are-robert-burns-stats-so-far-this-season.101394/

Are we going to go with an unbalanced line too. I remember Berry killing it with those unbalanced formations. Seemed like he’d go for 10-15 every time from that formation

Fair.

But...
Half glass full...

What you're saying is it's literally a highlight run EVERY...SINGLE...TIME... Burns touched the ball.

LMAO ya...5 years ago though. 2 years of college 2 carries 10yds and multiple injuries. Senior year I believe he had a krtd in the kickoff classic than out for the year again.
