Roast me all you want

The best part about football is the kids have 11 more games to shut people like you the **** up.

I won’t roast OP. Because none of this matters. We’re playing 11 more no matter what. We haven’t been good in 20 years. Cristobal has a track record of losing a game he “shouldn’t”. But again, the cool part? NONE of that **** matters. Past performance is not indicative of future success. Periodt.

Just keep playing the way you did on Saturday, and we’ll be fine. We haven’t won **** yet. Everyone in the building knows that. But when you have lines like we do and a QB like we do, you’re gonna be a really tough out.

I admit that I am probably wayyyyy too hyped after a blowout win against a rival in their home. Especially since they’ll probably be lucky to win 4 games.

But I will savor it and enjoy it. While also realizing there’s likely going to be a fall back down to earth at some point.

But it does feel like that dose of reality will be more of a “hey 10 wins and a playoff spot is still a héll of a season” compared to a “I can’t believe we only won 8 games.”

This game feels like the Texas AM game where we were ready to anoint this team as being back. UF was terrible last year and wasn’t expected to have a very good team this year so we beat a mediocre team at their home. I liked what I saw overall but didn’t like the constant throwing against his body that Cam did and didn’t like the usual dumb decision by CMC to leave in the starters well after the game was over.

I expect CMC to cost us at least a game or two by his poor decisions. We have a favorable schedule but I’m not drinking the kool aid yet and hope the team stays focused.

It doesn’t matter what the gators record turns out to be. Everyone knows with that schedule the wheels will fall off at some point.

we got the best they’ll be all season and dominated them and broke their spirits before they even got into conference play. It was beautiful

If you’re scared say you’re scared

We dominated this game from the beginning, felt like the old Hurricanes teams of the past.
As great as Cam and the offense was, I had that old time Canes feeling even more with how we stuffed the LOS up (except for the one mistake). That led to some good DB play from a unit that was thought to be a weakness. Hadn't seen that combo in forever!

I just couldn’t keep my *** from outta here and enjoy my Canes like the old days. Smdh

If you can't authentically be excited watching Miami beat the brakes off of Florida, 41-17 — with the best quarterback this program has seen in decades, with a focus on building up the trenches, while dominating in recruiting and having a blank checkbook for the portal ... honestly, why even be a fan?

"Ward's gonna throw more picks with that cross-body stuff ... Mario's gonna ***** up a gain ... Florida isn't that good."

I love this fan base. Mario takes the starters out early, he's wrong because it's Florida and you need to run up the score as recruits are watching ... but leave them into the run up the score, and now he's dumb because somebody could've gotten hurt.

Some of you are so damaged from 20 years of mediocre football that the PTSD keeps you from even being able to enjoy a clean, two-penalty, better-in-all-phases-of-the-game beatdown of Florida.

If you're not on cloud nine today and watching Gators meltdown videos on YouTube, seek help.

I'll bite. I was annoyed that Lyle was in the game in the 2nd quarter when we were up 17-3. We went 3 and out and he had two touches on that drive we ended up 4th and 1. Martinez or Fletcher probably get us that extra yard on one of those two touches. We end up punting and then Johnson goes fpr 71 to get the turds back in it until Ward shreds them in 2 mins on the next drive.

Maybe Dawson and Mario knew they just were not going to stop them and wanted to let the recruits see a TF in the game when it mattered but still. Put the teams away then start ******* around.

With Cam just gonna have to let him cook. He's a gunslinger and he's going to do **** that is scary and most of the time it'll work.

Starters at the end sounds a bit nit picky. Certainly won't cost us a game but might **** up our season if something flukey happened on a run out the clock series in a blow out.

Although I believe this team is built different, I'm not sure the OP is being unreasonable or even wrong.

Coach Cristobal or this program have done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt.

Let them earn everything on the field.
He's not wrong. The point is you don't have to remind all of us miserable ***** that the wheels always come off. Especially after ***** slapping our oppz week 1. Let's enjoy some delusion for a while.

1. Cam Ward was a top 3 qb last year. He is who is and that was not a start on Saturday but rather a continuation of what he has been doing. The failures last year were largely attributed to a low handicap golfer playing QB for us. That’s not happening this year.
2. Fair point on Mario decision making. But he did hire a clock management coach. And as you saw the sequence of events with 4 minutes to go in first half, that has paid off. We ran that 4 minute drill to perfection. It was done exactly like any good NFL coach would have done it. I think Mario has evolved there.

I don’t necessarily agree with original poster. I think this team is different than any of the other false hope we’ve been hit with over the last twenty years at different points.

However, it’s not some wild take. We were doing a similar dance after aTm last year and look how that turned out. I believe this is different for a good bit of reasons … but still a little bit of caution with my optimism.

I Think You Should Leave Season 2 GIF by The Lonely Island

I’ll agree with you in one respect;

Cam should have been sat down for the Fourth Quarter. The game was in hand. We can’t let what happened to Jordan Travis happen to this quarterback. Period.

Mario needs to use better judgment, especially next week against FAMU.
