I think this year is is different. Plus you acting like last year we were not a decent team. If that idiot of a quarterback doesn’t have a midlife crisis in the middle of the season we win 10 games.

Yea sure maybe. But it's very apropos for this board for at least some people to not be able to just enjoy a huge win for like 48 hours. Seek therapy.

No it's not my dude.. you think we lose Bain in the 1st quarter last year and still dominate the edges? You think our QB throws an early pick and bounces back to dominate the rest of the game? You think our secondary just blacks out a decent receiving corps on their home field? You think the starting TE last year puts up 90 something yards in a game like this? You can poo poo this team's cieling all you want but don't tell me the talent is "basically the same" as last year cause it ain't.

I mean he does make good points. The keeping starters in will definitely cost us a starter at one point. It's pointless to risk injury, I'll never understand why he does that. Yeah throwing across the body is normally a huge no no but cams throws were all on point even the pick the receiver had a shot at the ball. I'm assuming they will work to limit the amount he's doing that but it's not like he was doing it throwing ducks. He almost each time made sure he had space to throw it. Being unpredictable is what makes him Cam and makes it impossible for defenses to plan for him. Sure he might throw a pick every once in a while but I'll take the 3:1 ratio all day haha

Definitely agree with that part about crossing my mind. I prob won’t stop expecting some BS until we are in the ACC Champ game if it happens lol

for me it’s not about how it feels it’s how it looks. Last year vs a&m when I watched the game i didnt see just a disparity between the two teams. We were just better that day. Vs uf I saw right away and posted in the game day thread that it is obvious we just are better than these dudes.



I don’t remember the last time I seen a Miami team on the field and I could just see the talent and players were different. Even in 2017 when they went on that run the team didn’t look better than really any of the teams they were beating. It just looked different vs uf but I guess time will tell if it really is

With me things are never as good as most think and things are never as bad. I stay pretty level headed , or at least try to. As you know from our private conversations about our eagles I never bought into them last year. Even at 10-0 and we were a shoe in for the SB. I thought we caught a lot of breaks the previous year and I saw flaws that wasn’t as obvious until the next season and the breaks stopped.

That said I’ve been saying this feels different and I believe there’s no excuse for anything less than double digit wins. But one game against a bad team won’t have me getting fitted for championship shirts just yet. As I’ve mentioned I need to see more from the secondary and how this team handles success. That has nothing to do with how we look physically , that’s more a mentality.

Yes it was a great win against a rival on the road which was first step of many that’s needed to be taken.
 
We have all been fooled before. More than once even. This team does absolutely look different. They look complete. They didn’t make any bone headed penalties. They gelled. They played complimentary football. They protected the qb. They gave their qb nightmares. They appear more solid than the 2017 team that we all thought was going places.

How bad is this gator team? Time will tell.
How good is this canes team? Time will tell.

I’m still in show me mode. I have high hopes, but im not anointing us quite yet.
