Roast me all you want

No, this game felt totally different than the ATM game last years. Both games were awesome wins, but different feelings about the team after the game.

ATM game felt like we had a good team and were going to be competitive again and capable of winning some big games. That was also a close game, and we made a lot of mistakes, but pulled it out at the end. Great win for sure. You could still see the weaknesses in our team and lack of depth. I also don't think any of us thought that TVD would turn into a turnover machine. As the season went on, we were still competitive in every game, but continued to make those same mistakes that we made in the ATM game. We just couldn't overcome them in those losses.

Florida game feels like we are a very good team and capable of making the playoffs. Being competitive against good teams is not even a question mark anymore. Lot of talent and depth. Game was also on the road against a rival and we whipped them up and down the field. Wasn't a close game. We do have some weaknesses, but they aren't as glaring as last year. This is a more talented and more disciplined team than last year. Are we going to win every game? Probably not, but we are 100% different than last years team.

Yall can’t help having a “Who’s the Biggest Fan” contest can you? I’ll enjoy rooting for my team like I always do, but you ****ers know OP is right.

Nah, it's about enjoying a huge victory for a couple of days, without feeling compelled to be the first Moper to post dire warnings.

Not every feeling has to be expressed out loud.

This is good. You need to let those twenty years of pain speak. We can’t carry all of that trauma alone—let it out; let it go.

A couple of points to consider:

1. ATM was a “loaded” team. But talent isn’t enough. They lacked cohesion, coaching and culture. I think it’s obvious we’re building that here.

2. Mario may not be the best X’s and O’s guy, but he’s proven he is willing to surround himself with coordinators that are, and let them do their thing.

3. In terms of cohesion, culture, and RECRUITING, Mario is putting the program first and building a winning atmosphere.

4. Nobody (well, almost nobody) predicted what happened mentally/physically to TVD last year. Would have been a very different season if he hadn’t lost his mojo.

We may drop a couple, but I bet this season feels very different at the end than it did last year.

I agree with OP.

I didn't like all that throwing across your body either. That's not real Football.

It should a be a classic 5 or 7 step drop, linear overhead release. Set your God damned feet in the pocket & throw a nice 5yd check down. Stop all that moving around & trying to be fancy. This is Football, not gymnastics!

And get a haircut too!

Sometimes in life you just have to enjoy the good stuff that comes your way instead of looking for perfection. Life is not perfect nor is football, tomorrow is not promised to anyone so enjoy the little things, don't be "Salty". Have a great day bud.

That's a good way of looking at it and we'll said.

We'll see what the season brings. Yes, UF is going to have a hard time reaching bowl eligibility. At least that's what we think now.

We did what we were asked to though. New OL in spots, would've liked to see a higher yard per carry. That's nitpicking though as early games are always a crap shoot.

Let's just enjoy the win, I know I did even if I didn't finish the recording of the game until Sunday.

This game feels like the Texas AM game where we were ready to anoint this team as being back. UF was terrible last year and wasn’t expected to have a very good team this year so we beat a mediocre team at their home. I liked what I saw overall but didn’t like the constant throwing against his body that Cam did and didn’t like the usual dumb decision by CMC to leave in the starters well after the game was over.

I expect CMC to cost us at least a game or two by his poor decisions. We have a favorable schedule but I’m not drinking the kool aid yet and hope the team stays focused.
Salty. I agree ,Cam has to stop making those throws against his body like he did here.

You really are a Salty Cane. Take this take home. Miami is clearly vastly improved. We havent seen this size, speed, passion and f u swagger in 20 years. Both sides of the ball flying around and dominating.

Yes, UF will lose a ton of games this season aided by this demoralizing outcome, but as any NCAAF fan knows anything can happen in a rivalry game as its been proved year over year for a century. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN in a rivalry game, and as Mario said it best in his postgame, "all we did was go out there and beat the living sh*t out of that team."

If you cant see that, no one can help you.

If you watched the post game pressers by CMC and Cam both explained why the starters were still in near the end of the game. Cam didn’t wanna come out but eventually relented to Mario getting him and the starters out.
