Wasn't at the scrimmage, but was told he had multiple breakups battling with Pope and Wiggins. Pope also caught a TD with Blades draped all over him.

Blades is working outside and as Bandy's backup in the nickel.

If there is one kid I am not worried about at all, that is Al Blades Jr. He was born to play football, and bleeds Orange and Green.

He'll be a great one in due time.

I am hoping he has a Bandy type of Frosh season. with some big plays and big hits That would be solid. Anything more would be icing on the cake.

Really competitive kids make great special teamers. Not everyone will be a day 1 starter. I’d like to have a kid like him on kick team so our all conference tailback doesn’t have to be a gunner

Sounds like he’s already the 3rd best corner on the team and the coaches are working to see who, between Bandy and Blades, will be the starting Nickel and Boundary in 3+ WR sets.
