Richt or James, their priority is UM, not whatever minimizes the mileage on Gus' car.

Blocking a player from transferring to a program we play next season shouldn't be surprising, it's been the policy for a long time.

saracuse wasn't bad at all last year they were in a lot of games, you add gus edwards and they might be legit. plus he have to transfer out of the ACC and it dont help that we have to play them.

adding gus edwards isn't a plus. he's terrible.

so you don't think he would improve a saracuse team?

no

no complain from me just thinking how last staff followed stars instead of talent.

Does C.W. Post still have a program?

**** you brought it back to Long Island! I know Hostra grounded their flying dutchmen football team (which was quite good by the way) not sure about CW post.

But eeeeewhhhh weee those ladies from Long Island know how to put a man sleep with those kegels 8-))) they're about 2 spots below Jersey girls on the freek-e-leek scale. Oh an they cook good also!!!

Go Canes

Thought you lived in jersey?

In my younger days I have been in through Jersey and in some Jersey Chicks, but never lived there. **** even the Jersey ladies with master degrees from a certain instate Ivy League school are freaky as ****.

Go Canes

Good move by UM. Fck all this nonsense about letting guys do **** that can harm UM. If we're playing them, then block it. Period.

Dopes always resort to the "yeah but coaches can go wherever they want." Coaches have to pay a zillion dollar buyout to leave. This is the player's buyout. You can leave, but you can't go help an opponent beat us next year.

It's the policy everywhere except in the minds of the fake assh0leface UM fans who never put UM first. They're all about the "God bless and go kill us next year, Gus!" and "we need to be classy and do right by these kids" loser mentality.

I think it is a sign of weakness. If you trust your evaluation process and determine that a kid can't help your program then let him move on without restriction. It's like you acting like a pimp and you fire your chick. Now you mad cause one of your boyz in the crew want to give her a spot in the stable. Just admit it; you really love dem O's!!!

You realize that he wasn't the one who evaluated Gus and offered him the scholarship to begin with right?

How did they determine he couldn't help them?

I don't think he was asked to transfer, he's choosing to do so ...

We all know the staff is just stringing him along until they sign McFarland. No McFarland, Then Gus stays. But if McFarland comes they will say it was a big misunderstanding and he is free to go where ever he wants.

Did they not have enough time to evaluate him? Last I knew every scholarship is one year renewable which is in the favor of the coaches.

Annnnd this is why they do what they do and you dont do what they do

(They = richt, james et.al.)

They did evaluate him and Thomas Brown said it was a mistake to not play him more, however, Gus is a grad transfer who sees Homer coming up as the new backup to Walton and has lived this before (slated as starter and broke his foot, watched Yearby and Walton rush for a 1000 yards each) and doesn't want to live it again...

The idea is that you don't send your playbook to a team you're playing...seems logical to me

Rutgers is closer to Brooklyn than Syracuse is.

There is a train right near Rutgers that takes you into Penn Station in the City in about 35 to 40 minutes, maybe less. It has been a number of years since I rode this train.

why in the **** would we let him go to a team we play next season??
Sorry, kids should go where they want just like coaches.

We also should be able to give either of those schools the whole **** playbook and win.
The NFL has people change teams all the time and the good ones still win.

I know that others do the same, it's still ****ed up and hypocritical. Everything that's wrong with college sports.

Clowns here put everyone else but UM first. F that.

If were playing them next year, no transfer. Just like every single other P5 school. End of story.

Any program that does not have an evolving playbook is setting itself up to fail. If you are relying on 17-21 year olds to keep the playbook a secret you need a new security director. Trust me, this will all be a big misunderstanding after McFarland signs and Gus will be free to move on without restrictions like all the rest. However, If McFarland doesn't sign then this will only play out until the summer just like Saban did with his players. And Richt will be forced to let him go in the end. So cut the sht and let him go now!!!
