Rhett Lashlee or Kendall Briles?

Briles also got a lot of credit for what his father did. Additionally, I thought it was said willie was trying to implement some of his offensive schemes, he is an offensive guy. Manny doesn’t seem to care what plays on offense are called.

Briles sucks
That would be fantastic!

fsu's offense was significantly improved with Briles at the helm vs 2018.

Their ppg average improved by 5 pts, their rush yds per game average improved by 35% and their pass efficiency rating improved by 13%.

A 35% improvement from 2019's offense would have us averaging 159 yds per game on the ground, which would have is ranked #67 in the country using 2019 rankings (7 spots behind the national champs).

An 13% improvement in passing efficiency would make us one of the top 20 best passing teams in the country using 2019 rankings.

And of course a 5 point per game improvement would have us scoring 30 points per game.

If that's what Lashee accomplishes then we're in pretty good shape. Bring it on!

Numbers don't tell the whole story

How many games did they come out 1H and put up numbers only to lay an egg in the 2nd?

Cam Akers
2017 1025 yds
2018 706 yds
2019 1144 yds

Travis Homer
2017 966 yds
2018 985 yds

Let's not pretend Akers was Dalvin Cook.
Cook had a much better O-Line and even though Akers isn't cook he's still a very good RB. He put up 1,150 Rushing Yards and 14TDs behind that terrible FSU Oline

Cook oline was bad too, you don’t remember deondre Francois getting fvcked up all the time?

Yeah akers wasn’t anywhere near as good as cook was imo.
Akers
2017 5.3 ypc
2018. 4.4 ypc
2019 5.0 ypc

homer
2017 5.9 ypc
2018 6.0 ypc
Deejay averaged 6.0 ypc last year.

I'll bite though:

1. Blackmon isn't in the same hemisphere as King

2. Lashlee and Briles' offenses aren't similar and Lashlee has sustained his success longer than Briles has

3. Lashlee will have a good defense to lean on. FSU's defense was dog ****

Briles is a great OC and has a bright future and I will say the same for Lashlee.

Manny has shown he’s willing to make the changes necessary to be successful as an HC. Lashlee also has way more talent around him at UM and he also has the luxury of having a top 10 defense to compliment.

I agree halfway..,he’s made good changes On O but he also refuses to make needed changes in defense.

I remember his last season they didn't have a very good O-Line but it was still much better then what Akers had. Akers can still be a very good RB without being a Dalvin Cook type talent. Cook is a future NFL ALL Pro if he can stay healthy and that's a BIG if, he was a top 3 RB last year.

Akers wasn’t that good, averaged UNDER 5.0 yards per carry in his career at FSU. Only over 5.0 ypc(5.3 as a freshman)
You gotta cut this out. He literally played behind some of the worst offensive lines in FBS. Akers has a ton of talent. He would’ve easily been the most talented guy we’ve had since Duke.

I’ll meet you halfway and say he likely will need to make changes on the defensive side moving forward, but right now the defense is very successful. The biggest concern in regards to the defensive staff is their ongoing struggle to recruit top talent, Banda is the only coach to prove his ability
