Reading This = Blow My Brains Out

This is beyond horrific. But we all knew this, didn't we. It is just hard to read it and understand why nobody who can make decisions understands this. But then again, there is the money factor.

It's criminal how Al Golden recruited or fail to recruit South Florida this year.
That alone should get him fired.

hard to argue one word he says but we must trust the process, not be negative and support the program regardless

Can we all just fast forward to Goldens last game with the canes this year.

That article was pretty much on the money until the end regarding Mario as the head coach. That would be a terrible hire.

cot **** that was smooth 2 piece to the dome of the corching staph. Going for that knock out.

a big part of the reason golden has so few south florida kids committed is because kids down here are much more aware of the situation going on at miami, golden has to go far enough away so that kids dont hear the thundering avalanche hes inviting them into.

The more I see what is transpiring, the more I think the administration is demanding the football program field a team that is more "geographically diverse" (i.e., NOT filled with the type of athlete that can make you happy on Saturdays but may come with baggage and or create a black eye for the school). For the most part, these kids look more like rule followers than trendsetters. Not necessarily a bad thing image-wise (and we all know how image-concious the administration has become post-Shapiro), but does not really lend itself to the culture that made this program what it is/was.

I can't get with the Cristobal hire ...

Cristobal's ceiling is being Dabo Swinney ... And that assumes he makes the right hires at OC & DC.

Yes, he's an upgrade on Golden ... But he's still not a coach who will win titles.

It's like hiring Lane Kiffin. You'd think it would make so much sense, on paper ... But based on his actual history, you know that it won't.

WOW!! He just Ripped Al A New A**Hole..

Is Golden deliberately trying to run this program into the Ground?

This class is a F***ing Joke, and the 16 class looks great on paper but so did this one 7 months ago..

The BOT & Administration should be sued, because they allow this Crap to continue

Good Lord, hammer meet nail. This is what boggles my mind as well. Why take the Miami job if you're going to run schemes that don't take advantage of the local talent? It's freaking idiotic.

People laughed when some fans wanted Mike Leach, but at least a guy like that would open the freaking offence and use the skill position players South Florida has to offer. Golden is trying to put a square peg into a round hole. I've never rooted against UM, not even at the end of Randy Shannon's time here, but we need a coach that can at least understand WHY he's not getting the best talent in South Florida to even give him a look. If that means losing this year and getting him run out of town, then so be it. We can't win ANYTHING if we don't keep more local talent at home. These kids want to play aggressive football, and Al wants them to play patty-cake patty-cake.

You shouldn’t be flying to the Mid-Atlantic or Louisiana or wherever, Washington, D.C. to get your skill talent or back seven on defense. That’s all here. You don’t even have to go north of West Palm Beach to get that. So, that’s one of the biggest reasons you take the job at Miami. You don’t take that job for the facilities. You take it for geography. It happens to be located where there are the most Division I kids in the country. So, you can go elsewhere maybe to get some linemen, but everything else is within an hour or two of campus. Until you make that a priority and get your share – if not more – you’re just going to be average...............................But at the same time, the personnel you get down here is not big linebackers. It’s not 6-4, plus defensive linemen. It’s not tall wide receivers. It’s fast and small with a lot of speed. So when you see 3-4, read-and-react defense and you see power run offense those personnel schemes really don’t fit what you can get personnel wise in your own backyard............In terms of what they want to do in terms of building it into a Virginia, Al Groh type of program you have guys that can fit into their read and react scheme and power game, a lot of developmental guys. But it is disappointing in terms of geography. I mean, why are you going to take the Miami job if you’re not going to over recruit these awesome counties of Broward and Dade? It’s kind of defeating the purpose of the job and the location.

If you hit a diver - 5 iron anywhere in Dade or Broward county, you will walk by about 2-3 serviceable D1 skill position players on your way to your golf ball.

As was mentioned, Bartow was spot on until he started singing the praises of Fat Luigi from Alabamee. Couldn't be more wrong about that.

Remember when Golden apologist said that he came from the Bill Belichick coaching tree? :jordan:. Al Groh :ibis-roflmao-sm4:
