He's already had a career's worth of bad losses.

The 2019 FIU game has to take up more than one spot. And as if anyone could forget that game, there's the 2020 UNC game.

Was the 2019 GT team the one where they had a triple option roster but were transitioning to a new offense? They had like 20 RBs on the roster with no QBs or WRs?

No matter how gimped out a team is, a half decent coach can beat Manny. ****, Virginia had a WR with a peg arm embarrassing us.

That was infamous Fake Punt game by GTech when Ivey literally watched the guy they threw it to score a TD on him because he stood completely still while they faked a punt & he was just standing there confused on if he was supposed to actually tackle him...

Hard to disagree with you but I'd move Florida and GT to 4 and 5 then slide everything else down. The Clemson beatdowns were bad but not unexpected...same with Bama, I just knew that **** was coming.

We should have know when this dude lost to FIU, Duke and LaTech to close out his first season. One bad loss I can excuse but 3 straight just pitiful games is all I needed to see. We should have cut ties after that bowl loss.
We were all done then until he roped us back in with Lashlee and the complete overhaul of offense with King coming in. Dude worked some magic with those off-season moves to get fans to buy back in... until UNC lol.

So after last night, I was ruminating on where I think this loss would place in the impressive collection of signature losses that Manny has collected as HC. Below is my ranking of our losses with #1 being the worst loss we've had.

Where are we taking bets that the upcoming UNC loss ends up? I think between 4 and 6 somewhere.

But did we win though?
15. Central Michigan (2019) (12-17) - I blocked this from memory until @caneholic88 reminded me of it. So here it is. Certainly feels like a loss.
14. App State (2021) (23-25) - They really gave us this win. Thanks Chase Brice?

Close games
13. Oklahoma State (Cheez-It Bowl-2020) (37-34) - Really close game N'kosi looked good so overall I thought the least bad loss?
12. Va Tech (2019) (42-35) - Don't remember this one at all...
11. @UNC (2019) (28-25) - I was in person for this one so if I were biased it would be lower. 4th and 17 is all I remember.

We had no chance
10. @Clemson (2020) (42-17) - This is less bad than Bama since it was @Clemson and during covid I think. Offense didn't have much time to practice yet.
9. Alabama (Neutral-2021) (44-13) - Outmatched completely but we did score?

Should have won but...
8. Michigan State (2021) (38-17) - This one was at least competitive for a minute there until Q4. But final score moves it down the list.
7. UVA (2021) (30-28) - Yesterday's loss has to be here not from score but just how bad we looked for most of the game.
6. UF (Neutral-2020) (24-20) We had so many chances to beat a hated rival who gave us many chances to win and we just couldn't do it. How many sacks did they have?

We looked bad.
5. @Duke (2019) (27-17) - Terrible Duke team that we out matched and we played like garbage.
4. Ga Tech (2019) (28-21) - This was during the first year of GaTech's rebuild from a triple option team... Terrible to lose here.

The creme de la creme of Manny losses.
3. @UNC (2020) (62-26) - This game still hurts me.
2. @FIU (2019) (30-24) - It's FIU but at least we scored and it was a closer game?
1. LA Tech (independence bowl-2019) (14-0) - Getting shut out by a not great G5 team has to be the worst game we've played in a LOOOONG time.

Florida International on the site where the hallowed Orange Bowl once stood—outworked, out-hustled, outclassed and out-coached by Butch Davis, who had his team looking and playing more like the Canes than Miami did—while his sideline was loaded with his older players in FIU gear, wanting to beat the pants of the UM program that wants nothing to do with them.

Down 16-3 at the half, down 23-3 early third quarter and mismanaged down the stretch after pulling to 23-17—letting FIU get in the end zone again, before one final score to lose 30-24.

Manny Diaz should've been fired the next day. He let little brother beat his ***—knowing what a knockout punch it would be to let a commuter college get the last laugh against Miami. He knew Butch's squad would play with passion and purpose and give it their all—and yet still couldn't his kids heads out of the clouds; admitting that egos were out of control after a three-game win-streak against Pittsburgh, Florida State and Louisville—losing to FIU, Duke and shutout by Louisiana Tech to end the 6-7 season.

Diaz shouldn't have been hired in the first place, but that year one disaster should've had him packing by Thanksgiving.

There is no need for a list—FIU will forever be his scarlet letter. F this yahoo.

VT game was 5 turnovers in the first 5 possessions I think. JW got pulled a Perry almost pulled off the comeback.

GT was the game where they couldn't kick anything through the uprights.

GT was also the game DJ Ivey took a nap on the fake punt, as well as half *** defense on a Yellow Jackets touchdown—costing Miami 14 points on two plays in an OT loss to a one-win GT squad (in their first year of not running the triple offense) weeks after The Citadel beat them.

A week later Ivey got an interception (or two) at Pitt and was all "how do you like me now" while Al Blades took to social media to shame any fans who talked trash about his boy.

The culture problem within this program is palpable and rotten to the core.

You can rank them however you like but this fabulous foursome rivals any of any coach ever:

Unc 2020-got run out of our own building
Fiu 2019- nuff said
La tech 2019-shutout by a g5
GT 2019-converted triple option team beats us at home. Shoutout Ivey

FIU - Soul-crushing loss & he should have been fired the very next day. We literally became a laughingstock. They were 0-30 against their previous Power 5 opponents

UNC 2020 - Absolute destruction & literally destroyed everything anyone ever thought about Manny as a defensive mind. If FIU didn't get him fired, this game DEFINITELY should have
