Here if you ever need to talk, friend.Haha well to be honest mine was fairly painless. Just write a big check and pack up.

I noticed that VP part too. That is a big, big deal from a an HR org chart and organizational perspective. You do not loosely add that title to someone's roles, especially at a 501c3. It's not like a Goldman or JP Morgan where there are 1,000 VPs running around.
I know <3Here if you ever need to talk, friend.

Rad will take care of this!!Issue is Title IX.... we need to find a sport that can accommodate the same number of women. .... maybe women's lacrosse or quilting or something....
Problem with having football and baseball is that it adds large numbers on the men's side which needs to be offset with women athletes...
Good stuff. Just want to add that VP's in both the corporate world and universities usually sit in the president's cabinet (council or whatever each organization wants to call it). This is where high level organizational decisions are made. Having athletics sit at the table means it's now integrated into the overall mission of the university whereas before the primary focus may be on academics. In another word, athletics at Miami will no longer be neglected as it was before.Couple of things.
First, from an overall structural standpoint, you have elevated the role of AD to a more senior level. This is a actually one of the first great "legacy" things that I've seen from Frenk, as it will be harder to "go backwards" in the future (i.e., hire a guy as inexperienced as Eichorst or Beta Blake).
Second, there will be "more meetings" to attend for Rad, but also more OPPORTUNITIES for him to interact with other people at UM. I would expect that you would see a few more meetings on CONTRACTUAL opportunities that could be dreamed up to get adidas (or Nike) more heavily utilized at UM (go back and look at what Jurich was setting up at Louisville before the scandal). I would also expect Radakovich to have a chance to integrate UM Athletics more into the the calendar and lifestyle of the UM student body. I would also think that you could tap Radakovich to share his skill set on overall UM "master plan" building ideas.
But, yeah, at first, it might be a lot of "extra meetings", from a time standpoint, so I think it will be GREAT to have a larger staff at Hecht to help Radakovich do his job.
After this post, I'll try to find, cut, and paste a post I made in another thread, having to do with the duties of an Athletic Director. Then, you can kind of connect-the-dots on how he can be integrated into the overall business of the larger UM functionality.
The coup against the old guard is complete. I think Frenk and the Ruizes pulled off the improbable in one fell swoop.
Hope they fumigate the Hecht of Shalala leftovers and their disciples..
... including the incessant id1ots who came on CIS to attack the brotherhood of mopes and defend BJ and Manny..
What’s that for?
Lmao bro... have you had your cafe con leche today? What’s that for?![]()
Me too. But the important thing is that Rad’s name also ends in “ich.” You know, just like Jankovich.I was a big Jurich fan but I think this actually works out better.
