Question to those rooting for us to lose?

So people should feel guilty for wanting the people driving Miami into the ground gone? Having the team being called Candy Canes on TV, breaking every bad defensive record? You cant make me feel guilty about something that i know is right. What does rooting for the team to lose mean. Do you mean going to the game and cheering for the other team? No i wont do that. Hoping the other team wins, yes we have seen thats the only way changes that are needed will be made. Our defense has been terrible for 3 years, we haven't beaten a good opponent in 5 years. What satisfaction are we getting for our money in beating Duke and FAMU and getting smoked by everyone else. I don't need to root for us to lose. No D incompetence takes care of that. It's like a family or friend who is on drugs, the wont change you're always there for them. You give them money to get clean they spend it on drugs etc etc. Eventually you have to do something you don't want to do, to see if that forces their hand to change. This is it. Golden and No D is not that answer. Not just losing , its their staunch defense of what they are doing and their inflexibility to change makes it even more so

OP just doesnt get it

I get it just fine. You guys want Golden gone and the best way to accomplish this is for the team to lose, therefore you think that by "wishing" them to lose is going to make it happen. Wow, that was so hard to decipher. What you dont understand is I see 1000000000000 threads the day after the game from these same people hoping we lose, complaining about the coaches. You were rooting for them to fail. Why be mad then? You should be the opposite.

If you truly want the team to fail, I am curious how that works on gamedays. You watch the game and Miami makes a play? How do you react? I seriously dont understand that part. The more good they do, the more chance of them winning, which leads to the possibility of them keeping the coaches. Which is counter to what you guys want. This is not a anti or pro golden question. I have stated my opinion many times on the subject. Just curious how these "fans" react to the game

You have to be smart enough to realize that people hoping we lose so El Foldo gets fired are well aware that wishing it happens won't make it happen any more than you wishing El Foldo magically turns it around will make that happen.

We are hoping for a result (El Foldo fired), and in order for that result to happen we think he needs to flame out as quickly and dramatically as possible. That includes getting dragged around by Duke. Therefore, we hope he loses in order to reach the result we want.

It's not a tough concept. You should be able to grasp it. It's no different than wishing your favorite NFL team loses its last game so you can get the number one pick who is the QB you need to turn things around.

Would you be ok with being adverage for the next 4 years under AG? A real Miami supporter would like change ASAP and if that takes us cheering for Duke which got moved to a night game so the entire world can witness first hand how bad our coaches are

Who said I wanted to keep Golden?

You did. By not calling him *** and by bringing up that rooting against your own team may be bad.

Our coaches suck! Players deserve better! To show them this I will root against them and not donate any money to the program! Free the players!

SO, I want to see you type that when Kaaya, Duke Coley, Howard etc make a play, that you are upset. I am willing to bet anything that when watching games at home u have your Miami gear on, and your cheering like always. I get it. You want to be with the "in" crowd on a message board

No. I don't give a **** about the in crowd and I will be rooting for the Canes at all times. The highlighted is a mockery of the position that in one thread I can yell and scream about the players deserving better, then in another say I'm not going to games or donating so I can prove a point about the coaches as if it doesn't also directly hurt the players.

You are missing the key point that it is very easy to be negative and point out problems with this team and coaches. So after the game, win or lose, those who wish to be negative, either because they are legitimately mad, because they like the schtick of the board or because they like to beat up CIS for other reasons, will come here and mouth off.

Example: It is Duke. If we lose, bring on the onslaught. If we win, we beat Duke, we should beat Duke, Duke is a basketball school, not a real win.

You are setting yourself up for buffoonery with a thread like this.

It is a very simple question that you and the rest of the so called "rooting for Miami" to lose crowd continue to not answer. Your buffoonery just contradicted itself. You said you were rooting for Duke. Now, you just said I will root for the Canes at all times. So which is it?

Who ever said anything about not being able to complain? Go check my posts and you will see I have done my fair share of bashing Golden and Co whether some msg board poster believes my stance or not. My problem is, why are you ******* complaining, when it was what you were rooting to happen. Makes no **** sense.

Lets recap. Fans on Friday " I want Miami to lose every game and the other team gain 600yds so coaches get fired" Same fans On Sunday" I am ****ed that we lost and the defense sucks." Really you wanted this too happen. You shouldnt be complaining.

Because Golden is still the coach of this team. The posters saying they want Miami to lose (or don't want them winning 7 or more games) say that because they want Golden gone. So I'd wager that, until Golden is no longer coaching the football team at the University of Miami, there will be threads and posts centered around the bashing of Golden on a message board dedicated to the the athletics at the University of Miami.

I don't see why this concept would be so difficult to grasp, but I read some of your posts in this thread and realized it might be for you.

Let me ask it a different way. Its 38-34 Duke with 5 seconds to go. Miami has the ball on 10 yard line with a chance to win. Kaaya throws a fade to the corner for Walford and right before you see what happens, you lose all power. So, are you hoping that Walford caught it for the win or that Duke knocked it away? When your power comes back on and you see Miami running around celebrating, are you ****ed? If the opposite and Duke is celebrating, are you doling out high fives and fist pumps cause you're excited?

You people try to make everything pro- anti golden. just because you believe them to be linked doesnt mean i have to. I hope miami wins every game. if that happens than a miracle happened and things would obviously have changed for better. Again if said miracle happened I obviously wouldnt have a problem with Golden and I doubt anyone else would. If they lose, Golden will be fired and everyone will be happy. So DO YOU UNDERSTAND my position. I am not pro golden(not that I need to defend myself)

So I am looking for some clarity in regards to how you react during games? Talk about simple to understand. **** supporting or being against Golden. Answer the **** question

Your question is retarded. Anyone rooting for UM to lose should be upset if UM wins. Otherwise, you're not really hoping UM loses.

It is hard to root against your team to win, however sometimes that is what is best for your team. My typical cycle goes like this:

Extreme Frustration from watching us play

****ed at the coaching staff and wanting them to get fired

Get to tailgate, have a few beers, build up hope, have a few more beers, think this is the game that the coaches change things up, :based-duke2:

Excited for kickoff, offense scores a TD, fired up, :fistbump:

Defense comes on the field, 3rd and long, first down, another 3rd and long, another first down, 8 plays the other team scores a TD, reality starts to kick in, :stephenahand:

Opponent scores again, mild depression,

We score, glimmer of hope,

They score again and again and again and again... repeat cycle :dejection: :hair-fire:

Yup, same here.

Touche, atleast you caught that.

My obsession and extreme fandom will not let me root against Miami, but my hatred for these coaches makes a loss easier to take, because I am hopeful that enough of these embarrassing losses will lead to a change.

I understand the OP.....

Same miserable f*cks that want us to lose are the same miserable f*cks that complain when we do

So, if the ball is up in the air when the power goes off, I will probably say: "No way Walford gives enough effort on the play to fight off the DB, out jump him or not juggle the catch, but I sure hope he does for the score and the win."

To further clarify --- I don't care who is coaching the team as long as the team wins. If that is Golden, Butch, Coach Macho, Joe Paterno's corpse, as long as the Canes win games and get back to playing for championships I will be happy about it. I also don't give a **** about Golden's weight or his visit to State College or that he is from NJ or how his interviews go. None of that **** changes me wanting the team to win games.

So during the game you'll be actively rooting against Miami, correct? Legit question. I am completely torn about watching the game. I can't be upset if I watch the game and the Canes play well. It's literally impossible, regardless of what my brain is telling me. Believe me, I want Golden gone as much as anyone, but there's no way I can actively root against the Canes.
