If some guy knows this, at least claims it on a message board, then maybe the coaches needed to do more so he doesn't lose his head. If they knew that and then still threw him out there, then that's on them. Good coaches know how to manage their players, bad ones don't. Best ever at it here, JJ.
There are some things you can't coach. The ability to process things quickly and accurately, is the most important characteristic of a quality QB, not arm strength, not running ability.

If a QB doesn't have it mentally, he doesn't have it.

Auburn was terrible this yr though. Not sure why he'd want to go there. Losing out on ward after all this and potentially missing on the 2nd and 3rd option would be typical Miami football

Were we that much better than Auburn? And yet he was ostensibly fine coming here for the payday. Maybe we are pulling that payday back now. At some point we have to move on.

Well, I didn’t speak with Ward’s father this morning, but very likely Miami didn’t just start exploring other options overnight. Won’t speak to Mario’s sideline prowess, but confident he’s not asleep at the wheel in his hunt for a QB.
Definitely feel like these reports are just late but who knows, good that we will find out soon either way

Agree. I am not sure this this is what we want in a locker room leader. I COMPLETELY understand some posturing and negotiating. But this seems to be a bit much.
Will howard has taken multiple visits and been in contact with multiple schools, is he the type of leader we want lol?

This is college football now, its a business..Take the emotion or overthinking out get used to kids moving like this there are millions of dollars being thrown around its all new to everybody

It was year 1. They were suppose to be terrible.

But it’s SEC football.

And a HC that runs an offense that Ward could be a fit in. Auburn runs a form of Briles’ Veer.

That’s a much better fit for Ward than the throwback “Four Horsemen” offense that Mario runs.
