Pringle is NOT IN THE portal ANYMORE

Our running game got us to the natty and lost a winnable game by 6. He isn’t good in pass pro right now as a true freshman. You can’t be serious.
I am dead *** serious that all the moaning about pass pro is such an overstatement in its importance. Like it's absurd. Charmar Brown was this excellent pass protector all season? Lmao.

Fletcher wasn't even used in late games because he's no use as a receiving threat... So it's not like we were putting Fletchers out there to be an elite pass blocker.

It's like people forget the primary job of a RB is to run. And Pringle was a ******* freshman who was our most productive RB for like 1/3rd the season.

To be fair to him it doesn't make a ton of sense of how we handled rotating the backs this year or any year with Dawson so far.

For a few games he was being treated like RB1 and then much like Lyle, fell off the face of the earth never to be seen again. I'm sure it came down to inability to pass protect which is paramount for RBs on this team.
Dawson has said Merritt makes the choice on the rotation

So you think he took himself out of the equation with a guarantee he was going to be receiving substantially more snaps in line with his actual production that he earned?

Meanwhile he was what got this run game to stop sucking in the regular season and then just got completely benched for Brown, who while everyone wants to act like has been excellent has been just fine...

You can absolutely pick who you are choosing to prioritize keeping. And not choosing Pringle over anyone not Fletcher is very bad.

RBs in portal is looking like a ghost town. I was expecting CWH and Lyle to portal out anyways too. So... This could get very bad.
chill lol we have no idea who the staff is prioritizing. As far as we know they could have told Pringle he’s #2 behind Fletch next year and here’s a nice raise. Kid could feel some type of way about how things went and want out. Assuming things is never the way

Our most electric offensive skill player sans Toney Tone …. Brutal brutal— no doubt about it. Would much rather lose brown who I like too but he’s no Pringle ….. if we lose both it’s lookin dangerous

We are not going to get a rb in the portal as good as him

The game is the game no blame but we gotta pray Lyle is ready for action

The fact that they are fighting to get him back would suggest this isn't true.
Yes IMO Pringle took himself out of the equation by not staying. He got substantial playing time for a true freshman RB. That would once increase as he develops.

Why should he get paid more than Marty?

Because Pringle makes our Oline better. His vision and agility sets the Oline up for easier blocks.

Look at Pringle's YPC vs. Marty's YPC.

I thought this dumb narrative died during the playoffs.

There is a reason coaches emphasize pass blocking for backs. It can win or lose games. Running ability is a separator, but there needs to be a level of trust to play high-leverage snaps.

TAMU, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Indiana aren’t Virgina Tech or Stanford. Criticize Mario for something else he handled the backs perfectly the last 2 months. The primary job for a RB is NOT to run in a 50/50 offense. You need to equally be able to do both. Your QB takes a sack on 2nd down and guess what? You now aren’t running on 3rd down. You’d be telegraphing run every snap you play him at RB all playoffs. This staff should prioritize playing a true freshman RB over winning playoff games? Absolutely dumb as ****.

Exhibit a when we played OSU was Bo Jackson getting truck sticker by Wes into sayin. Still hope we retain Pringle but this is all so dumb. Pass blocking 1000% matters. Fletcher was playing great and this is big boys football. Totally agree here D
