Pringle is NOT IN THE portal ANYMORE

I thought this dumb narrative died during the playoffs.

There is a reason coaches emphasize pass blocking for backs. It can win or lose games. Running ability is a separator, but there needs to be a level of trust to play high-leverage snaps.
Running ability is more line dependent than people believe. That's the reality.

Repeating this narrative is pure stupidity or trolling. It’s like we didn’t all watch Wes run over Bo Jackson to get to Sayin’

The calendar in this sport is so effed
And next year the championship isnt played till January 25th. If a kid wants to transfer how is he going to do that? They cant wait till after(most classes start before then). So they will leave in the middle or before the playoff run.

Exhibit a when we played OSU was Bo Jackson getting truck sticker by Wes into sayin. Still hope we retain Pringle but this is all so dumb. Pass blocking 1000% matters. Fletcher was playing great and this is big boys football. Totally agree here D
you beat me to it

TAMU, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Indiana aren’t Virgina Tech or Stanford. Criticize Mario for something else he handled the backs perfectly the last 2 months. The primary job for a RB is NOT to run in a 50/50 offense. You need to equally be able to do both. Your QB takes a sack on 2nd down and guess what? You now aren’t running on 3rd down. You’d be telegraphing run every snap you play him at RB all playoffs. This staff should prioritize playing a true freshman RB over winning playoff games? Absolutely dumb as ****.
So guys can't come in rotationally at all then huh. Lmao. Y'all sound so dumb about this. Indiana literally didn't even like try to pressure us 90% of the time. And you know what was working on Running against them? Outside runs.

Pringle was BY FAR a better runner than Brown, and that should be obvious to anyone who watches football. So because Pringle is put it it means your automatically gonna give up a sack of you run a pass play? What if the RB goes out for a route? That acceptable?

Soldinger back in the day never let a back on the field if they sucked at pass protection

Well, Marty didn’t get much game time in the Natty either.

You don’t have to pull Fletcher off all the time. Pringle can play with both. Use him as a decoy in run or pass game. He’s actually a really good pass catcher. You can run him out on stretch plays.

There are different ways you can use him, Ghandi. Come on bro. You know ball.

It’s not about snaps per se. It’s about making the offense better. Could’ve done that in the playoffs.
we do nothing with the rbs except run them into the pile.

portal is too easy for kids.

You’re right man. Totally would have won a natty if Pringle got those extra 5 reps

Yeah we should have given Scoggins some of Bains snaps. You don’t know ball and sound like a dumb *** CIS version of Uncle Luke.

Carries in the playoffs

Fletcher 75
Brown 22
Pringle 4

I know 4 is barely any, but Fletcher got 80% of the carries. If he's really leaving because he was upset he didn't get carries during the postseason as a true freshman who can't pass block, that's odd.
It really isn’t. Kid showed he can be a weapon and offense looked different when he was in there because of his explosiveness. I am shocked we didn’t use him more.

We can go back and forth on whether he should have played more in the playoffs, but if that’s the reason for transferring when he has a chance to be a big contributor next year?? Good riddance. Not everyone can have a Toney type season year 1. Have fun at Bama or wherever else. Grass isn’t always greener.

**** that's crazy you can trust a guy and he CAN ACTUALLY DELIVER SUPERIOR PRODUCTION in important games to actually get us to the playoffs, and another RB can fumble in those high leverage situations, but the mere possibility of a RB having to make a 1 on 1 pass pro block eliminates him from being able to receive any snaps.... Lmao.

So youre telling me he can't go on the field for a 1st down drive get a carry, and on a pass play be sent out for a route instead of being in to block? Youre telling me we have to have Useless *** Bauman running a route instead of in to block and are unable to send Pringle out for a route? **** that's crazy bud.

Pringle is the person who really opened up our run game mid to late in the season. He had a far larger hand of Getting us to the playoffs than Brown did. And we couldn't find him any playoff snaps to the point where he portals out?

Smfh

Bama currently has

Kevin Riley - 4 star freshman
AK Dear - 4 star freshman
Daniel Hill - 4 star sophomore
Ezavier Crowell - incoming 5 star recruit

So where does he fall in that pecking order vs Miami?
Not gonna lie…excluding the incoming freshman, Pringle is better

I am dead *** serious that all the moaning about pass pro is such an overstatement in its importance. Like it's absurd. Charmar Brown was this excellent pass protector all season? Lmao.

Fletcher wasn't even used in late games because he's no use as a receiving threat... So it's not like we were putting Fletchers out there to be an elite pass blocker.

It's like people forget the primary job of a RB is to run. And Pringle was a ******* freshman who was our most productive RB for like 1/3rd the season.
Its not the main thing when evaluating a RB but its still important. Some of it can be taught. Some of it is effort. We gave Pringle burn against Taint and he missed blocks and his one carry went down easy on an arm tackle. You know **** well if he was just serviceable as a blocker and broke a run he would have gotten more burn. Bottom line is he got a chance in that game and the moment looked too big for him. He's a true freshman so that is to be expected but its wild that him and his people don’t see that and are just gonna take their ball and go home.
