Is there any chance that he's trying to secure his brother a spot? What is the policy and deadline for transfers? I mean, come august, his brother would be at UGA, and he is then free to commit to whoever he wants.

This really doesn't mean anything but I just thought I would share. My boy threw up the U to Dalvin Cook after his race and Dalvin hit him with the Gator Chomp. Dalvin seems to really like UF my friend told me from talking to him, means nothing at all but I don't think a flip is guaranteed. I hope we land 2 out of the 3 and get Yearby to stick. We definitely cannot miss out of 3 elite RBS in one cycle

Sony is a pretty professional dude. Not sure he he renegs on this committment. This is a massive, massive fail on our end. I know we've tried our hardest, but results matter.

Anyone who follows college football knows that Coach Golden and his staff are doing things the right way to sustain Miami as a power for years to come. We are a year or two away from threatening the SEC's dominance. Young men in south Florida need to understand they can be a part of the reemergence of a power program. Don't miss out on it. You might regret it down the road.

Everybody acting like Cook will just switch over to us once Sony commits to UGA are not thinking this through.

It has been known for a while now that Cook's parrents have been making money off their son's abilities since little league, and that he almost transfered to Carol City (Flo Rida's alma matter) this year b/c Flo Rida was gonna pay his parrents. Too many people found out and it never went down.

Then this kid commits to Clem$on who many suspect of paying FL recruits such as 5 star WR Sammy Watkins and 5 star LB Tony Stewart and a few more, not to mention that pic of that OLineman with the stack of cash in a Clem$on polo that was on his facebook for like 10 min before Clem$on made him take that **** down. I believe a South Carolina fan got it and posted it on the main board a few years back.

Then out of nowhere he commits to the Gators (an $EC $chool) a week after the story about Muschamp paying players at Auburn broke.

But the weirdest thing about that UF commitment was that in the article on rivals, Cook says that his parrents are gonna drive up to Gainsville every 2 weeks to "get to know the staff better".

Now I have heard that Cooks father does not have a job that would allow him to spend the type of money on gas that it would cost to get from Dade to Gainsville every 2 weeks from now till signing day, so WTF?

IMO the Gator coaches caught wind that Cook might be for sale and offered his parrents some serious cash while up there that weekend. And to ensure that they keep his commitment till signing day they told his father to come up to Gainsville every 2 weeks to receive it in chunk$ or as the Cook says "get to know the coaches better".

Then a few days later Cook has another interview where he says that he will still consider other schools, IMO to keep the heat on the Gators and make sure he gets as much as possible out of his recruitment.

So I doubt that Cook flips, mainly b/c the Gators are paying him little by little till signing day to keep him.

what if he just likes the Gators better than the Canes. No chance at that huh? It always has to be a conspiracy theory why a Miami kid picks another school.
What he's saying about Cooks Fam is true. Serious question... Are you a Gator fan? If not than nothing to see here. I can't wait till 09/07 and my trip to the MIA and watch our offense show out!

This. I've seen kids WORK HARD and still not be able to hit a curve consistently or be able to touch 90 on the radar gun. Point is, just like you said, can work as hard as you want and that's great. But In the end, RESULTS MATTER.

Agreed. No matter what the circumstances or how you spin it, no Sony = fail. Now it's still only April and though I personally don't think he flips if he picks UGA, you never say never in recruiting.

At the same time, it's early in the process and it's not like we are standing here at the last minute with our thumbs up our asses. We have plenty of time to be out there recruiting the **** out of plenty of other guys, and if it's one thing this staff has shown, it's resiliency. Hard work will pay off.

He could be the most professional dude on the planet, but he is still very young and 10 months is a loooooooooooong time in the world of recruiting. This doesn't end today regardless of who he picks, mark it the **** down.

Prediction has to be about Sony imo.

From everything I have heard no $hot we can get Cook

I can't sweat this in April. No way. And if he commits to us, then we have to worry about retaining his commitment through Signing Day. If we play up to par this year and staff keeps working him, let's revisit in 9 months ...

Valid prediction by OP. If Sony was planning on committing to UM, why would Corch Rumph be pleading with him to wait? And why would our corches be at his school all day yesterday? Our corches were there to feed Corch Rumph a script on all the reasons why it makes no sense for Sony to commit so early.

Bottom line: Old P1ss raised the stakes this past cycle. The other SEC pigs saw what they did throwing money around like bird feed, and they're like, "Oh, OK. I see you, and I raise you."

If he picks UGA and sticks with UGA, then it's not a fail on our end; it's a fail of the system. There is no possible way we lost that dude, who supposedly grew up loving UM, has a HC who starred at UM, and is local, to some school that is not a major power and does not recruit this area without some shenanigans.

You dudes crack me up with this "results matter" rhetoric. If the playing field is even, then, yes, it's a "results matter" type of deal. When it's not, then it's not. Tie a couple cinder blocks to Michael Phelps's legs and see if he can win a 400m freestyle.

See if he can win a 4 meter stay alive style.

Yeah when I said it was a failure, I don't think it's such a broad statement. I'm not blaming the staff, or anyone or anything in particular. It's just a recruiting failure.

Sony doesn't make or break our class, certainly not in April, but it's going to sting if he goes elsewhere.

Sony was 6 or 7 years old last time canes were worth a ****. Y'all are living off our past tradition and history, he is not.

IMO Sony, cant be faulted for making a sound decision to go to a UGA team that was in SEC champ game last year, also has
a history of producing great backs, plays in front of 80 k every home game and in SEC.
Unfortunately in Realville, we havent produced a 1st rounder in don't know how long, gets 30 k
for home games in a BS stadium 45 minutes to an hour from Coral Gables. Not to mention the facilities which while
improved are still **** compared to uga and every other SeC school.

like I said earlier...once this guy starts taking OVs and receiving in-home visits he will open it up again. I guarandamntee it. He will have another announcement date set up at some point in the future.

Agree with this. We can't compete until we start winning.

WE need to get to a major bowl this year and a victory over UiF and /or F$U!! This will get the Heads of recruits on a swivel!!

cook is likely headed to miami. from stuff i've heard, uf's staff isn't confident he sticks and are still pursuing other backs.

while that will suck obviously, it's going to be funny as **** seeig how those people claiming they know cook is shopping himself rationalize his commitment to miami. i'm certain those rumors of money exchanging hands will go away.

When Georgia shyts the bed this year as usual and Richts *** is on the hotseat again while Miami is blowing up we'll see how sold Sony is...

That's "IF" he even chooses Georgia today.
