...nuggets from the article...
"Nesta Silvera was once again a standout due to his competitiveness and will to dominate (and to let everybody know he dominated). It was Corey Gaynor who felt the wrath of Silvera this morning with a little extra holding and tugging on one another after a rep today.
After the drill was over and as the media was being escorted out of the facility, the sophomore defensive tackle had some thoughts that he cheerfully shared out loud. They were something along the lines of, “nobody can block me” to put it elegantly."
ANYBODY complaining about Nesta's aggression is a ******* moron. We've had nothing but limp ****, underachieving, soft, meager DTs the past 10+ years other than Willis, Norton and McIntosh. Nesta is only a Sophomore DT. I'll say it again -- He's only a Sophomore. He'll continue to develop his body and his technique. I think we'll see a massive jump in productivity this coming year, but next year is when he will shine.
If I'm Stroud, I push Nesta - hard. If he's bringing that level of intensity and passion, then feed his ***. See how badly he wants to be great or if it's just puff and smoke.
For us to make up Willis' productivity, we will need all our DTs to step up next season, and Nesta's improvement is essential. Nnoruka, Bethel, Nesta and Ford. They will determine our Defense's success next season.
