Practice #5

Insidetheu guys made a comment as if Perry was the guy who can run a complete offense in terms of stretching the field and that he has the most arm talent. I just don’t agree with that take as perry has issues throwing down the field imo
If I can guarantee only one thing about the QB competition, it's that it will not come down to who can throw the farthest.

Breaking news: quarterbacks aren’t perfect. Sometimes they throw bad passes and interceptions. Shocking stuff.
I only get my breaking news from one place.

Bruh. This is why you stay getting in arguements. Hes just saying a preference of what he wants to see so hes HOPING you're wrong. Better ways to say you're correct than telling him go find a clue. You were right. Just stick to that. We all gotta do our parts so theres not so many petty *** arguements derailing the threads.

True. 30% chance when you open a thread it's on topic right now

Me personally I dont really put too much stock into anything anyone tells me about football. If you know the game and can break down what you're seeing then it's irrelevant what some jackasses tell u that havent played a second of meaningful football in their lives. Madden makes everyone a coach apparently. I will say for anyone that cant realize a obvious shortcoming a certain player may have they probably shouldnt be giving opinions off as facts. Nkosi seriously struggles in the back third of the field. Everyone and anyone would tell you how often his ball tails away from his recievers let alone how often its underthrown. Underneath and intermediate routes hes good with but neither of the other two especially jarren struggle in that capacity either.

Just to clarify (something CIS didn't write) for those who end up reading the link provided earlier in the thread and then later expecting some wildness:

Today, I saw shifts and formations that I had not seen before. Both Will Mallory and Brevin Jordan were lined up next to each other and motioned at the same time while Brian Hightower motioned in from the outside. It was a very unique formation.

That's a shift. Not a motion. Don't expect 2-3 guys in motion during games. It's a penalty. He may have meant shifts (since he used the word before), but I can already see some people saying "we read about these crazy motions during fall camp" and half-expecting arena football.

Yup, and it's not "unique", except I suppose to Miami's archaic offense from the last couple years. **** that exact shift was used in the first play of that old Central Michigan game tape I posted a while back. It's like these people don't even read the boards... =P

i've seen him practice and do drill 10 feet in front of me. he is nursing the knee, not really a limp, but you can observe that he is cautious with it. not sure if it is mental or physical. i would not expect him to play 8/24, but you never know.

Maybe a bit of both

I think it's a mental thing right now. No concerns at all when it comes to lo. Great kid and the future of that position. Him cam and chaney good lawd

With Scaife inside, its got to mean they have more faith in herbert and Nelson that we want to believe. Heck they are going against the best DE's in practice.. Minus Zuniga no one comes to mind as far as a equal competitor as to what our Ts are seeing in practice. Practise just started, but having scaife inside must mean that they have more faith in the Tackles then they do the guards.. I think Scaife is better suited as a OT, but the combo of Donaldson,Gaynor and Scaife as the middle 3 sounds good as well.
… Or it could mean they want to give them a chance to develop. They may be not be so quick to throw a true freshman and a untried redshirt sophomore to the lions as people would think. I believe in a few weeks, particularly after the first scrimmage, if they don't see them progressing enough to handle Zuniga, we'll see some shuffling in the OL as they narrow in on the starting lineup for UF. Then they'll work them back into the rotation after UF.

You should be. He's going to lead the team in catches.

I thought he would lead in catches and JT would lead in yards.

But he is constantly making big plays.

JT is JT. Pope is coming on strong. Hightower, Wiggins, the tes.

When we get rolling, it will be a show like we haven’t seen in years.
