I'm fine with NIL as well. But ... what exactly is NIL "supposed to be"? Before it was OK'd, I'd always heard it was about allowing players to earn enough to have some "realistic" pocket money. Maybe it was envisioned but I never heard six (seven?) figure payouts mentioned.Def old school for me. I dont mind the NIL at all, good for the kids.
The transfer portal is a problem though and that in turn makes NIL something that its not supposed to be.
Kids should be able to transfer, but must sit a year. Or could get a waiver under very STRICT criteria.
Are players' names, images and likenesses on billboards for businesses in South Fla, are ads featuring players up and running on local TV? Are they cutting ribbons at the openings of new businesses? What/where is the return on investment here (and elsewhere around the country)?
Don't think you can restrict movement. That's what the courts have unanimously ruled against, right?
