Possible Gator game date change

It wasn't a rumor, I was told by someone with Florida Citrus Sports that the request had been made (but not approved yet). As the articles are now reporting, UM & UF filed the waiver request in January. I heard about this in mid-February.

The issue is that it wasn't a done deal. I debated whether to post the "rumor", but it was right before tickets went on sale.

Previously, I posted that the Spring Game was likely to be in Orlando, but I put in some caveats because the deal wasn't signed. A bunch of people slammed the info. I posted about the UM-UF ticket availability, and certain posters tried to change the topic to how tickets were sold for the UM-LSU game last year.

In case people haven't noticed, there are a bunch of internet d!cks on this board who want to slam every poster who provides inside information. Why bother? And, frankly, I don't give a ****e about upvotes. Just look at how people have treated Stefan, who reported what he was told, though certain people were never actually hired by Manny.

For the record, I contacted multiple moderators on this board. Maybe they didn't believe me, or maybe UM wouldn't confirm the rumors.

I don't care about being a goat insider, I just wish UM would hire a better AD who would be more honest to the fans. Outside of building the IPF, Blake has been a disaster. And, no, I don't give him credit for hiring a UM alum or hiring a coach who was on our own staff.

Currently, Bama gets viewers even if they are playing Samford.

I may not like it, but I can acknowledge that we would be the third-most-watched game on August 31st.

We'll be #1 on August 24th, though. And GameDay.

I don't give a ****e what Barry reports. I know what I was told by someone with FCS, who knew about this long before Barry did.

There is another factor at work here. I'm active with the Orlando Alumni Association. We have been trying to get info on the Saturday tailgate, as many of the lots around the Citrus Bowl are privately owned. I have been hearing "5 or 6 pm" for the last 2 months. Obviously, that could change, but some single-sentence Barry Jackson report doesn't change all of the other information that I have been hearing for months.

It's nothing to fight over, it's just hilarious to hear the February 28th spin to all the reporters who were told NOTHING for 2 months.

"Oh, sure, this is all about the 150th celebration. We would have been carried at 8 pm on 10 different ESPN networks no matter what day we played the game." Yeah, what a bunch of BS.
